can anyone give me details on this? also, do you have to be staying at the GF to "qualify?" thanks!:yay:

I have just booked this for our 1st anniversary and we are staying at Port orleans

We did it in October for our anniversary. I highly recommend it! It's such a once in a lifetime experience, food was excellent, view was fabulous. It's a bit pricey but so much nicer than celebrating something in a park or resort restaurant. They ask you your likes and dislikes as far as food goes and the chef prepares a menu just for you. You are on a balcony overlooking the lagoon and the GF pool and to the left you can just about see the top of the castle where you can see wishes. We also saw fireworks from Illuminations and the water pageant. We had our own private butler who was great. We had a lot of alone time. They serve a special dessert during wishes.

If you get the chance to do it, I say go for it!

I have been dealing with private dining since 2 months out which is when I could book ours for our anniversary

It can be expensive, our 2 course meal from our wedding (we had our reception at the grand) is costing $75 each without tax and tip and then the butler is another amount but cant think what that is at the moment and then our cake is on top again

If you send me your email address, I can forward you the menu/pricing that the GF sent me a few days ago.... I was considering this for our upcoming trip but ended up deciding against it because of the money and the fact that I already have some expensive surprises planned for my DH!

I called private dining at 407-824-2578 and I believe I dealt with a woman named Linda. I left a message, she called me back and asked for my e-mail address and sent me the details. Check out mouseweddings.com and look under romantic ideas. There are some details there. We got a 4 course meal for $85 per person, the butler fee is $75 and then you add in tax and gratuity. Water is included and we ordered a bottle of wine. Plus we gave our butler a little extra. You do not have to book it 90 days in advance, I believe the web site says at least 7 days in advance. I did it a few months in advance.

To me it was worth every penny and probably cost about what a 4 course meal in Cali Grill or another signature restaurant on property would have cost.
