Hello everyone. I do not know a whole lot about Disney or the Magic Kingdom specifically, so I was hoping you all could help me.

My girlfriend and I booked a last-minute vacation to Disney in two weeks. I was planning on proposing to her around the time of the vacation, and she loves Disney, so I plan on popping the question during our stay there. I would like to during the Wishes fireworks show, but I would like it in a fairly private/intimate area of the park, but so that we can still see the fireworks. Do you have any suggestions for areas like this?

I was thinking about the Wishes private boat show but I heard that the exhaust form the boat can be bothersome. Does the area near the wishing well become crowded? What about the rose garden near the castle?

I appreciate any input you can provide. Thanks.

Hi, my now fiance had the exact same idea as you, he wanted to propose during the fireworks, but he decided against it because one, magic kingdom is super crowded near the castle during the fireworks, the rose garden is very crowded. Also, it's dark and it is very loud. So, my fiance decided to do it right before the fireworks in the rose garden. It worked out perfect bc after dinner we went straight to the castle for a pic, they have people all over to take your pciture, so we went to the rose garden, and he proposed, then we watched the fireworks... so that area is very crowded before the show, also she might want to get the best spot possible for the fireworks (which is what we always do) which tend to be the crowded spots. hope that helps! and congrats, I hope everything works out!!!

My DF proposed to me during the fireworks on a private boat. They turn off the engine when you are watching the fireworks and they have the music piped into the boat. We had our boat driver take pictures when my DF was proposing. I always wanted pictures of the engagement and it was truly special. Like the previous post said, it is really crowded at the magic kingdom and it is dark during the fireworks. The rose garden is a pretty spot to pop the question. Hope some of this helps. Also, Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween is beginning next week and is on various nights, so be sure if you want to propose during Wishes and not HallowWishes, to check out the date that you will be going to the park. My DF thought it was going to be Wishes but it turned out it was HallowWishes, but it was still an amazing night!

Another option which would be more private is on the beach at the Poly while Wishes is happening.

That's exactly what DD's boyfriend (now fiancee') did a few weeks ago.

We were at the Poly Club Lounge and watched someone propose on the beach just before the fireworks!! This was on 8/18??? My two girls and everyone in the front of the lounge were waving and cheering for them:cool1: It was so sweeet:)

They got engaged August 11. It was right as fireworks started around 10:00
