Only 63 more days until our trip to DL! :cheer2: I'd like to try to make PS reservations and this is where I'm hoping for some suggestions!:worship: What places take PS reservations and what PS would you/are you making for your trip? Our group consists of 8. (4 ADULTS, 4 KIDS) 4princess: AND 4pirate:

THANKS!:cloud9:

Ok for your 4 yo DD Ariel's Grotto for the princess character meal. I took my then 3yoDD and her two grandmothers there for lunch 2 years ago and it was awesome!!

I haven't been....yet! but Goofy's Kitchen for another character meal. SherryE and DizneeLuver is with me on this one, right ladies??!! We plan on having breakfast with Goofy and his pals on our check out day.

If you like a dark moody kind of setting the Blue Bayou just might fill that need. Granted the menu is pricey but then again you aren't paying for just the food. I wasn't able to talk DH into having a meal there but we WILL be having just desert!!!

Hope that helps.

All the table service places take PS's, though some of them always have seating available.

Okay, let's start with Disneyland - if you want to eat at Blue Bayou, you have to make a PS. They require it. It doesn't mean that you won't be waiting for a table, but you need a PS. I would also strongly suggest making a PS for Carnation Cafe if you choose to go there, as they have limited seating and the wait for a table can be long and agonizing at times. Cafe Orleans is also table service, so you could make a PS for that. If you eat at Minnie and Friends in the Plaza Inn for a character breakfast, make a PS. Since that is very popular, a PS is necessary. But you do not need to make a PS for the Plaza Inn during non-breakfast hours because it is buffeteria-style. I am not sure if Rancho del Zocalo takes PS's or not??

In DCA, Wine Country Trattoria takes PS's, but there always seems to be lots of seating when I go. Make a PS if you choose to eat at Ariel's Grotto for a Princess meal.

In the hotels, Storytellers and Napa Rose at the GCH both take PS's. In the DLH, Steakhouse 55 and Goofy's Kitchen both take PS's. In the PPH, the Lilo and Stitch buffet at the PCH Grill takes a PS, as does Yamabuki.

In Downtown Disney, DEFINITELY make a PS for Rainforest Cafe (the wait can be up to an hour!!!), and it would be good to make one for ESPN Zone as well (also very busy and crowded but great food). Naples takes PS's but they always have seating available. There is also LaBrea Bakery, House of Blues, Tortilla Jo's, Ralph Brennans Jazz Kitchen and Catal. I think you can make PS's for most of those.

Well, you know my answer!;) And DizNee Luver would most certainly agree if she were here!!! :dance3: I just hope, Charmama, that you do end up liking it at GK too - but don't be afraid to tell us if you don't!!:lmao:

Thank you and no worries about the double post! :cutie: So definately we'll be doing Ariel's Grotto and the Blue Bayou. Maybe just dessert there also, I'm wondering what times would be best for these two places? This is my DD 1st trip. When we first decided to take the trip, we were going to leave her at home, but Grandma talked me in to bringing her and I'm glad she's going. I think she'll love the magic of it. She describes things as "magical" and "incredible" and she's only 2.5!!! She carries around her "magic wand" and is bippity-boppity-boo ing everything she can! I'm glad we're bringing her along after all. What else would you recommend for her? Isn't there something for princesses? I thought I read somewhere about a fantasy faire or something. Is that still at DL? Also, any thoughts on Fantasmic? We arrive in Anaheim on May 10th (mother's day) and were planning on visiting the parks Monday-Thursday and leaving Friday. I'm afraid since we plan to visit on the "weekdays" that we won't get to see fantasmic, fireworks or parades :scared: We kind of forgot about that stuff when we booked our flights. Are those things only on weekends?

When we took my son (then 3, now 8) we did Goofy's Kitchen the first day we were there and it was a blast!!!!! But I think DD would like Ariel's grotto best. I can't wait, I think I'm more excited than the kids!!:yay:

I learned from these boards that a lunch PS for Blue Bayou works well. You make a ps for the first lunch seating at 11:30, putting in a request for waterside seating. Then you show up at the podium at 11:15 and repeat your waterside request. This will usually get you seated first and in the nicest spot.

Also, I'd suggest looking at Allears.net for all the menus of the restaurants you want to go to, to get an idea of what they have to offer. Consider splitting plates for your little ones, or sharing food.
