Tonight, I was reading the Unofficial Guide ...... and I got to the three page description of how hard it is to get seats at Cindy's Castle......and it freaked me out!! :confused3

So I called to make PS for the first three days of our trip ..... I still had one more day to go before it was 180 days for Cindy's Castle. I asked the guy if I could still make PS anyway and he told me that since I had the Magic Your Way with Dining, that yes I could!! I was overjoyed!!!! Then as he was puting our information into the computer, he told me that he only had ONE SEATING TIME LEFT!! :yay: YIKES! I'm glad I called tonight....and we now have a lunch date for Cindy's Castle at 1:10 p.m.!!!

The guy, however, was not very nice and when I told him that it was going to be our Honeymoon......HINT....NOTE IT IN THE COMPUTER.....he didn't say a word. Oh well-I'm gonna make sure it's there somewhere! Hah!

And there will be NO DOUBT in anyone's mind that it's our Honeymoon!! We have the shirts and the hats ... AND I made a doorhanger for our Hotel room!! :lmao:

By the way, has anyone ever done the Mama Melrose's Fantasmic Package? We have PS for 6:00 p.m. How does it all work?? :teeth:

I am just wondering where all you will be eating on your disneymoon...I am reserving CP for breakfast I heard its really good. Also I was thinking about the 50's dinner...Have any suggestions?

Hi,

Just this past May when DF & I went to WDW we did the Fantasmic package at Mama Melrose. It was one of my favourite TS restaurants. (We also did Coral Reef, Crystal Palace, CRT, and Garden Grill). Your server will give you a special coupon at the dinner and remind you where to go. There's a separate entrance for people who have the Fantasmic package and they rope off an entire section. This means you don't have to go hours in advance to get a set. We were still about 45 mins early because I wanted to sit near the top (the server had said, the more you'd like the show to be like a water ride, the closer you should sit to the bottom -- I didn't want to be wet).

The one thing to be aware of is that the menu is a bit different if you have the fantasmic package, and there was quite a bit of concern over on the restaurant board about this a while ago. I personally felt that there were so many great options regardless. We had the chicken flatbread and I had the chicken parmasiana (sp?). I can't remember what I had for dessert -- something chocolate. There was also dipping bread and a salad. It was probably the best meal I had of the trip. Too much to eat. And I loved Fantasmic as well...it was the first time I had seen it.

Thank you so much for your replies!! I didn't do much research into the Fantasmic package but I thought it sounded like a great idea...and your information has helped me as well!! I DO NOT want to get wet, either...so we'll be getting there early and sitting close to the top! :lmao:

The restaurants that we will be eating at during the week are:

Victoria and Albert's
The Coral Reef Restaurant
The Crystal Palace
Cinderella's Royal Table
Mama Melroses
The Liberty Tree Tavern
Tony's Town Square

I've never been to the Prime Time Cafe and we were planning on going this trip. However, it didn't fit into our itenerary....so maybe next time!!

I've eaten at the Garden Grill before and I LOVED it. I just couldn't fit it into this vacation, either...but I plan on going next time!! :) The Crystal Palace is a trip tradition for us, so that's why we are going there.......besides that, though, I LOVE their food and the Pooh characters are great!!!!

That sounds like a GREAT line up of restaurants. I'm really looking forward to going back to the favs and trying some new ones when we go for our wedding/Disneymoon in January. I have to stay off of that Restaurant Board or I'll lose 2 hours of my time just looking through the "food porn" thread.

This time we're doing: Crystal Palace, Mama Melrose fantasmic package (hey, it was so good I have to do it again!), Chef Mickey's (morning after the wedding), CRT (dinner), Coral Reef, Concourse Steakhouse, Le Cellier, and Garden Grill.

You'll notice a lot of repeats! DF kepts saying...we have to go to Coral Reef...but don't forget about breakfast with pooh, and oh...Garden Grill :)
I thought about V&A's, I wanted to do a really romantic dinner and DF loves his wine and so I thought the wine pairings would be a treat...but everything was starting to add up ($$$) and I had already used all by TS credits. Oh well...it's an excellent excuse to go back for our 1 year anniversary.

I have to say...planning PS reservations was one of my favourite parts of the planning.

You've picked some nice places to eat. I've never been to Victoria and Alberts, but maybe one day................
Here's a list of where we're dining on our honeymoon:
Alfredos
Artist Point
Hoop Dee Doo
Poly Luau
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Ohana's
Marrakesh

There are so many others I'd love to try, but there just isn't enough time!

I DEFINITELY know what you mean!!!

I was wondering if anyone knows if I can book all my reservations in one day or do I have to call back each day?!

You should be able to do most of them at one time. I've booked multiple reservations in one call.

They said that because I had the Disney Dining Package, I could book them all in one day, even though it was still not quite 180 days!!

However, even if you don't have the Dining Package, the Disney cast members are very helpful with anything you need!! :)

I have a quick question about the CRT is the pictures included in the price of the meal or do you have to pay for them seperate? I was not sure of this if anyone knows please let me know asap I have to make our seating on Oct.17

I asked the same question and the guy said that yes, the pictures are included in the price. He also said that the pictures are the main reason that the price is high....and it takes 2 credits from the dining plan to eat there! :)

I don't believe we can do the dining plan beacuse we won't be purchasing park tickets beacuse his grandpa works there and we can get free tickets...Is that right?

I am still trying to decide if its worth it or not to eat at CRT for 30.00 each

I think the experience is worth it...definitely!! I was watching my 2003 vacation video.............and from some of the video footage in CRT, I saw 2 separate couples wearing the wedding ears and I thought...awww that'll be us! :) I definitely think it's worth it!!

CRT is more of an experience to be able to go inside Cinderella's Castle. Unless you are chosen as one of the "year of a Million Dreams" guests to stay inside the castle, its about the only way you're able to go inside. It really is beautiful inside, and the food is pretty good. But it seems to fit so nicely after a Fairytale Wedding.

I get numbers mixed up sometimes, but I am pretty sure that once you hit the 180 day mark, you can make ADRs from the first date of your stay and up to ten days following that. But I think CRT and Victoria & Albert's are exempt from that and you have to call on the 180 day mark for them.

We are super excited about all of our reservations. Here's what I can remember from memory:
Brown Derby (Fantasmic Package)
Garden View (Afternoon tea with the girls)
V & A's
Crystal Palace (Breakfast of wedding day)
Citricos (Wedding dinner)
Boma
Coral Reef
CRT
Cali Grill

YUM YUM YUM! :goodvibes

Ash 1569,

I think it's actually a better deal to pay the $30 each than use 2 TS on the dining plan. It is all about the experience...and it's one I'll never forget. When we initially booked for our past trip I was nervous because it was when the CRT had just changed, people were saying that it wasn't as good over on the restaurant board.

For me it was special because I had never been inside the castle and the stained glass and architecture was beautiful, because we had just gotten engaged and we placed in the centre at a table sprinkled with Mickey confetti, and the picture with Cinderella was very nice. I think it was worth it in and of itself for the look on DF's face when Cinderella said to him: What a lovely shade of blue, your shirt matches my dress.

I'm going to attempt to upload my first picture to show you some of it. It was hard for me to visualize what goes on when first booked.

Here's the Mickey confetti...

I hoped that worked (it was my first try)...I would also post the actual pictures of DF & I and Cinderella, but I don't have them scanned.

This is awesome thank you so much for the pictures! I am defintely booking it for the first day we will be at the parks..The first night we get there we will just wonder around the resort and proubally go to DTD! Thanks for the GREAT advice! If you have more pics just let me know!

:cool1: That's exactly right!! I just called a few minutes ago to make our V&A's reservations b/c it wasn't quite 180 days when I placed all of our other reservations! :)
