I'm familiar with this but had a few more questions.
1) if you make a res for 6 and only 3 show up is that ok, frowned upon?
2) if you make the same res and let's say 8 show up??
3) last, if you make a res and not show...is there any penalty of any kind?

Looking to do Goofy's Kitchen and Ariel's Grotto!

There is no penalty for no showing. Although it is nice to let them know so they can take a walk up or seat someone else.

Shouldnt be a problem to show up with less people, but showing up with more could cause a slight problem. Because its priority seating, not a "reservation", it shouldnt really make a difference. The difference between a reservation and PS is that, with ps they are not holding a table for you. It is more like getting in line early. Sort of like call ahead seating that some places, like outback, offer.

On one occassion we had a reservation for 11 and last minute added 2 to the table (1 adult and a 2 year old) - it wasn't a problem, but then again we were already a huge group. We have also had occassions when we had a large group and one of the kids didn't feel up to being in a restaurant and that usually takes at least one other person out too. Never a problem with it.
