Hi:
We will be visiting U/S in June and staying at the HRH on a Weds and Thurs evening. One of our favorite places to dine w/the kids is Margaritaville on citywalk. This is our first time staying on a Universal property. The "perks" mention priority seating at restaurants. Does this include the restaurants on Citywalk or do we still need to make arrangements ahead of time?

Thanks in advance!

includes CityWalk....not hotel restaurants

Margaritaville gets really crowded and you may still have a wait, even with your room key.

I will tell you what happened to us. We asked the Concierge at RPR if we could make a reservation at Margaritaville and she said no, but show your hotel key and you will get priority seating. When we arrived at 7pm they told us 18 Priority people were ahead of us and it would be a 2 hr wait. The lady at Margaritaville said to always go by the resturant during the day the day BEFORE you want to eat there and get your name on the Priority seating list. We got lucky...just as we were about to leave a nice guy from the bar came by and said that he had a High Top in the bar area and if we wanted it...we could have it. WE jumped on it! So you can go hang out in the bar and wait for someone to get up from the High Tops. I don't think those are part of the regular seating there. I hope this helps! As you can see in the photo below...the kids didn't mind the high top! :rotfl2:

We went last July, ate 2 times at Margaritaville and never waited more than 10 mins. One night we ate at 6 the other we got there about 10 (just before they started charging to get in). We were able to enjoy the live music while we ate. We're going again next week. Taking my parents on their first trip there and looking forward to going to Margaritaville with my dad. The live band plays classic rock and I know "grandpa" will enjoy it. One thing I love about Margaritaville is when ordering Cheeseburger in Paradise our fries were always piping Hot! Can't say that about too many restaurants.

There are 4200 rooms on Universal Property if only half of them are rented the same time you are there and you decide to eat at the peak times you go on a priority seating list behind every other key holder, best bet is to call ahead or eat at off times. There is a reservations button on the hotel phone just push it and make the reservations you will glad you did. We called ahead at Margaritaville and had a 10 minute wait while others had been there for atleast an hour and we got in before them. As we got seated I overheard several people behind me say that they had been there longer and that they had room keys, she had to explain to them that we had called ahead.

On a side note:

If you really want to feel like you are getting preferred treatment get a Hard Rock All Access card. When we went in March we walked up to the HRC showed our All access Card cut a 3 hour wait and got seated immediately with no call ahead, no reservations.
