A friend of mine is trying to plan a last minute trip. He's finding few openings for restaurants. What are the chances of PS's opening up in the next few weeks if he keeps calling?

His best bet is to check online several times a day. Things may open up close to his dates as dome ppl will cancel to avoid the cancellation fee. It's a busy time though so he may want to book what he can now and change if he gets something better.

I am going the first week in November, and not a day goes by that I do not change my ADRs because something better pops up. There are certain things I have never seen--CRT, and others that I have not seen for at least a week--'Ohana before 9 PM. But others that I have been able to get, cancel, and get again. Like, as of last night, there were 3 different Chef Mickey's lunchtime ADRs available on each of the two days I checked (November 1 and November 2).

I also heard that park hours are changed slightly in mid-October, and I have no doubt I will change at least one in-park reservations based on that. I would be surprised if I am the only one.

That is my long-winded way of saying that if he watches the November Cancellations Thread, and checks online at the Disney site once or twice a day, I would think he would be able to get at least a few ADRs he likes.

This past weekend we decided to switch from using TiW to the DDP, plus are spending the last two nights/three days of the trip over at Universal. I went online last night, canceled several ADRs and rebooked three more for different days. We'll be there Oct 27th-Nov 2nd. I was able to get Biergarten, Boma, and Bongos, all around 7:00pm. I also saw a Chef Mickey's, a 9:00pm Oahana, a 7:20pm Rose & Crown, Coral Reef, California Grill, Jiko, Crystal Palace, and several other fairly hard to get ADRs.

I just picked up a Sci-Fi Dine ADR for first week of Nov. It works out great with our wanting to be in HS for the first day of Osborne Lights. I also picked up a Le Cellier Lunch ADR last week so keep checking - you never know what will open up.

I changed an ADR last night for first week of Nov. I had no problem getting what I wanted. We changed from a 5:30 dinner at Jiko to the same time at Sannaa. We changed because we will be coming directly from AK and didn't want to have to worry about being under dressed!
