Priority of parks at night

We have young kids (3 and 8) and will largely do early in the parks, early bedtimes. We will, however, do 1-2 late nights to do some of the night events. What should we prioritize? We do to Disney biannually. They have never seen any of the night shows at WDW. We are staying 8 nights.

We are staying at the Poly, so could watch fireworks on the beach and have a slightly earlier night.

Animal kingdom? Should that be the top choice with Avatar?
Then what Fantastic or fireworks at MK?

Thoughts?

You know your family and kids best. Pick what peaks their interest and go from there.

I know this post isn't necessarily giving an answer, but we could tell you everything you already know and you'll still be stuck.

Our favorite evening park is Magic Kingdom! But I am looking forward to seeing Pandora at night as well.

I'd say Happily Ever After and Fantasmic

Same. I can't imagine Rivers of Light would be as appealing to the kids as HEA and Fantasmic. My kids are littler but I'd pick HEA/Fantasmic over ROL/Illuminations. I would make sure to watch HEA in the park. Beach as a bonus viewing another night if the kids are up.

Illuminations!! You have F! at DL, so I'd skip that and do what you don't have...Illuminations!! It's also very easy to find a spot to watch without waiting for an hour. Fireworks at MK would be my other choice.

Happily Ever After & Once Upon a Time at MK, then Fantasmic and Star Wars at HS.

With a 3 and 8 yr old I'd skip Illuminations and I'd definitely skip RoL

my top pick would be HEA, Fantasmic is another good one, but if it starts at 9pm lasts ~25 minutes (or so) and then having to get a bus back - you are looking at getting in well after 10pm. Maybe hitting pandora in the evening, just to see all the bioluminescent features, but not worrying about ROL. The fireworks on the beach would be a great thing to do, but i do think with all the projections it is a must do in the park. At least you are only a monorail ride from the resort.

Only you know how your 3 yo will be with being up late. I know my DD once she was overtired she was a nightmare!

Yes, we will very much see how it goes with my youngest. My 180 days is next week though I have to figure out a loose plan for meals. I think they'd really like the bioluminescent plants. I'll plan on dinner at AK and dinner at MK one night each. We can skip ROL. Thanks for the feedback!
