I know I can find my answers on this forum. We are in the process of contemplating buying a digital camera for our trip in 20 days and counting!!!!!!

I have a few questions:

1. Is there somewhere easy we can download/print our memory stick for our digital camera in the park without going broke? if not...

2. Is there somewhere close to the MarketPlace we can walk to do it?

3. Does maybe SOG offer this?????

4. Any recommendations as to what type of camera?
I'm considering the Canon Power Shot A85 -4MP.

I love my 35MM camera, but it is big so we were thinking of catching up to the times and buying the Digital. Especially since it will be smaller to carry along. I am an avid scrapbooker so I want lots of quality pictures.

Any help will be great.

Ps. we don't want to spend more than about $300 on a new camers.

I believe you can transfer your pictures from the memory card/stick to a cd at one place in each park and a couple of teh resorts, not sure about Downtown Disney. It is pretty expensive, I thought I read it's about $14 or so. I think you can also print them, for a much higher price than you'd normally pay.

We took our new digital, and I just bought two 256MB cards for it so we wouldn't have to mess with it. We got 457 pictures that I kept, and they easily fit on the two cards with plenty of room to spare; this was on a 4-mp setting.

Not much help with cameras, this is our first digital, it's a Kodak DX6490, we really like it.

if you buy the cannon power sot beware..... I just bought one for our sept trip and took lots of great pics.......or so I thought. Once the memory card is full the camara just keep taking pictures OVER the other ones. Some of those pictures are just irreplaceble. It never said card full, never gave any warning, and it doesnt state this in the manual either. Total bummer. I now know you can LOCK pics that you dont want to go over but none the less our pics are ruined. Make sure to experiment before your trip. It would be a shame if the same thing happened.

Bigbabyblues & Skylarr29,
Thanks for answering my post. I am still at a loss as to if this is the best bet or not. I'm not getting the answers I thought about printing at Disney, I've been reading another post too. I don't want it to be a hassle and I don't want to have to buy a 256??MB memory stick to handle all the pictures I want. So, maybe I will just bring my fav. 35MM camera with me. Thanks for the help.
If anyone else has opinions or options I sure would appreciate it. Thanks.

I take my laptop PC with me and upload my photo's each night. I do this so that I can be assured that everything came out as I had planned. From a capacity perspective, I probably don't need to upload everynight as I have a 128MB and a 256MB CF card.

In regards to which camera to buy. I have a Canon PowerShot S330. We bought it because of it's small size. The only downfall from this novice's perspective is that I wish that it had more optical zoom capability. 3x zoom isn't enough for me.

IMHO: The price of memory cards at buy.com have dropped significantly in the last couple of months. Possibly buying 2 memory cards would eliminate your need to worry about uploading the pics each night?

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but....
Several companies make tiny little printers just for printing your photos directly from your camera or from the memory card/stick.
For my birthday my husband bought me a Kodak Easyshare camera with an Easy Share printer. You just set the camera directly on the printer. The printer is def. small enough to travel with and I believe they cost about $150. We use ours all the time for printing photos rather than our regular computer printer.

I just purchased the Canon A75 for $199 and wow a great deal! All my research said the A85 was not worth the extra money. Instead I bought the A75 and purchased a 512MB CF card off ebay for $32 shipping included! I do currently have a 64MB, 128MB and a 256MB CF card (hubby and I work in IT field) so we will not have a shortage of space! But using the CF cards are more then worth it, rather then buying film all the time that we might not even like half the pics!
