Printing Boarding Passes at Theme Parks?

I was actually allowed to go into an office at MK guest services to print my passes. I had just switched to a web enabled phone so thought I wouldn't have any trouble checking in to SW while I sat on a rocking chair waiting for the parade. However I couldn't get it to check me in and I wasn't about to leave the parade, it was the first day of the new parade. I stopped at guest services and they walked me behind the counter into an office and told me to take my time printing them. I was seriously tempted to post a guess where I am message on the Dis but I was a good girl. It took me less than 5 minutes.

The advantage is for Southwest Airlines. If you want to be in the first boarding group, you can print your boarding passes 24 hours before departure. If you wait until you arrive at the airport you will likely be in the second or third group and have less chance of selecting your seats. Seats are not assigned for Southwest. I agree, if you already have your seating assignments, it's not that important.

That's not entirely accurate. With Southwest, you want to CHECK IN 24 hours before departure. Once you have checked in, you can print the boarding passes later at the airport. You'll still be in the boarding group you checked in for no matter when you arrive at the airport.

If you check in via cellphone, or get someone with a computer to do it, and are not checking any luggage, you can use one of the computer checkin kiosks that are in the passageway to the security area, and you don't even have to go to the ticket counter. Just press "reprint boarding pass" when it gives you that option.

Can we do this if we're not flying an airline that participates in Magical Express?

1) Guest Services at any park can print boarding passes.
2) Any resort Front Desk or Concierge desk can print boaring passes.
3) You cannot use the computer, but they will print boarding passes for you.

This is only for Southwest Airlines.

Southwest is not a participating airline, but that all that means is that you can't check your luggage at your resort for your return trip, you have to take it to the airport on the bus with you and check it in yourself.

We were on SW, we went to guest relations inside the gate on the left side and they did this for us....I had to get a A boarding pass! They were very nice.

I have done this also, but not at the parks, I've done it at Guest Relations at my resort.

A few of the resorts will actually also check your bags for you. I've done it at Beach Club and OKW, and it's worked out great both times. Just make sure you have everything you need on you, and that you don't need anything in your checked luggage.

What you wrote is informative, but what I wrote is entirely accurate. I assumed in my response that anyone checking in at guest relations would print the passes at the same time. I was not considering calling in via mobile phone to check-in since I do not prefer to do that. I like the paper confirmation that it was done.

If you check my OP, you will see it had to do with PRINTING boarding passes.

You wrote that you must print the boarding passes to get the A group. You don't have to print them when you check in.

Others reading the post might think that printing at checkin was their only option and forego using a cellphone to check in, even if they wanted to.

We're flying on AirTran and we can book our seats up to 24 hours in advance. Do you know if we can do that at guest relations, in addition to checking in? Normally it wouldn't be a big deal but we're travelling with a 2 year-old. Just thinking of the safety and comfort of the surrounding passengers. ;)
