I printed my Tix and express passes at home but I can't imagine that everytime I want to get on the express lane, I have to whip out that flimsy piece of paper? I have to imagine that after even the first day, I run the risk of shredding or even losing it. Is there any way to get a better pass once I am there? There has to be a better, safer way?

There were other options when you purchased to choose a different type of ticket. Not sure if you can ask at guest services for a different type.

The benefit of the printer ticket is that it saves you time waiting in line at a kiosk to get your ticket. You have to decide, at time of purchase, what is more important to you....saving time and having to carry around those full sheets of paper or waiting in line at a kiosk and getting actual small tickets.

Yeah, I was up in the air on that one. The last time I did will call, it took 45 minutes just to get the tix. I figured printing them was better but I am just concerned about what happens if they get wet and soggy, tear or get lost. Can they get replaced?

That's why you will want to print numerous copies...in case something happens to them. Guest Services won't replace paper tickets with regular park tickets unless it's an emergency so I wouldn't count on doing that.

What some people do is put them in a small ziploc bag. That helps to preserve them.

Ok, I guess I will have to make sure I have a few copies of each then. Thank you for the replies!

We trim ours and put it in the lanyard. We just flip it so it can be scanned. Our park ticket is on the other side.

We're staying on site but have no idea of how you can print out your EPs ahead of time.

if you are staying on site, you have the unlimited usage express pass made after you check into the hotel.

the front desk will show you where the ep kiosks are located.

the instructions are listed on the kiosks.

the hotel ep is card size.

Yep, they take about 1 minute to do and take your photo. They are made from the same material as the actual park tickets.

You can't print your EPs ahead of time if you stay on site. It will all be taken care of once you check in. No worries!

I am not staying on site nor do I have a package of any kind. I just bought my tickets from Universal ahead of time.

i was replying back to tinachichi who stated is staying onsite.
i know it gets confusing for newbies the way conversations and advice appear in threads.

for rellyrooly, you can print off your ep in advance.
do make extra copies and carry them in a small ziploc baggie.

Actually, I'm not a newbie. I have been on the boards since 2006. I mostly read, not post. I, was in fact, just stating that I am off property actually in reply to tinachichi as to how I was able to print and that's what the difference was. Sorry if that confused you.

Hmmmm, I'll have to double check to see if I can trim mine. They're packed away right now but if my memory is correct, they're not exactly small. I bought ours in January of 2010 and the only option was to print off for that ticket. It was 2 parks for 7 days for $99. We had to put our names on them too, as they're non-transferable even unused, so I'm not sure if that's going to need to show too. I will be making some photo copies however! In the past, I just wrote all the numbers down in case we lost them, but photo copies would be a lot simpler.
