I had purchased and printed tickets at home and they state that I need to show the credit card that the tickets were purchased with and the id of the person whose name is on each ticket for entry into the parks. I am going to Orlando but the ones that I purchased the tickets for aren't. Do you think that there is any way that I can pick up real tickets for the tickets purchased online? I bought them with my debit card and if and when the people that I purchased the tickets for decide to go to Universal I probably won't be going with them and I won't be handing them my debit card.

If it matters I purchased the online tickets in August of 2009.

You won't need your credit card as long as you are using the print at home tickets. You only need the cc if you are picking tickets up from the kiosk.

I am not doubting you but the ticket states that you need to show your valid photo ID and the credit card used to purchase this ticket for verification.

The ticket has the individuals name on it and it also says purchased by my name - a confirmation number and credit card number

All of the ticket orders say that in case the ticket needs to be printed. But print-at-home tickets are the actual tickets. You won't need the credit card on those.

We printed our tickets out at home. They have the names of the people on the tickets and they just required the named guest of the ticket to make a finger print impression for that ticket. They did NOT ask for CC or pic ID when I presented them at the entry turnstiles. Be careful not to get the computer printed paper/tickets wet when you go on a water ride! DH had them folded up in his shorts pocket and after riding JaWS they got soaked and the ink smeared ruining the paper tickets! We had to go to guest services to replace them. She originally asked for our online receipt but of course we didn't have it. But she was able to look up my order using my name and quickly replaced it for us.

If the barcode is still readable, they can reprint them without the order number or CC. If the barcode is ruined they will need to know the name of who placed the order and their information. You can fold them up in a baggy if you are going on a water ride or ask for a plastic bag from any of the gift shops.

We like using the lanyard's that are waterproof.I got about a dozen over the years from Universal, but you can purchase them at Wal-Mart alot cheaper also.
The ones at Uni are only $5 and make great souvies...

Funny, I just called on this same subject. The cust. service person stated they need the credit at the park in case there is a problem with the ticket scan. 2 of us our entering first and the rest of my party will be entering later. They said that is fine as long at the credit card is at the park in case there is problem.

If you have purchased the ticket for someone else and they have a problem with the ticket. All they have to do is explain that the tickets were a gift from someone else. People purchase tickets for other people all the time. Even annual passes are purchased for friends and family for birthdays or Christmas or just because they want to get them a ticket or an annual pass. In those cases, the person would not have the credit card because the tickets were purchased by someone else. The only time that this could be a problem is if the purchaser of the tickets claimed that their tickets were stolen or lost.
