How do these work? do we just print them and take them to the gate? how do these effect being able to get a fast pass? Thanks

Once you print them out, you take it directly to the gates and they exchange it for a regular ticket. There is not effect on the fast passes, you just use the regular ticket they give you.

yeah, it prints out all the details on your ticket at the main gate. They used to give you a green looking ticket which i guess was abused a lot so now they scan the the machine prints automatically.

We just got back from a trip and used the print at home tickets. AWESOME. You take your voucher that you print to the gate and they scan it. A ticket prints out at the turnstile and you take that with you the rest of the time. It also knows that you have early entry on the days when that is available.

I have another question - if you buy the 3 day e ticket and then you want to stay another day, what does that cost to upgrade? Do you upgrade to the gate price? Probably... I guess I am just wishfully thinking! My sis & her kids are coming with us and I would love to stay 4 days, but the forecast right now looks for rain on the 3rd and 4th day - so.... I am not sure I can convince them just yet!! :)

Oh this is nice to know. I didn't know we could print off tickets at home. I'm guessing this is the best way to do it.

I'm sorry, I've never been to either Disney property before and DH and I are heading to DL for only one day. I don't want to waste any time dealing with tickets if I don't have to. I just want to make sure I've got this right; please bear with me.

So I buy my tickets at disney.com and print them off. Then I take the print-out directly to where we enter the park (we'll be going to DL first) and they will give me my normal ticket. I don't need to go to a ticket counter first. Is that right?

The tickets that they give out, are they plastic, like a credit card or are they paper? And I have to hang onto this all day to go between the parks and to use for my fast passes?

Once you have your 'print at home' tickets in hand, just stand in line at the turnstyle gates. (This works at the main gates of either park, as well as the monorail entrance) The bar code is scanned and a regular ticket is then given to you in exchange for the 'print at home' paper. The regular tickets are paper, but credit card sized, rather like the WDW tickets. The parkhoppers will let you go from park to park during the same day, and you can put them in the fast pass machines to get your fastpasses.

Just be sure you order the correct type of tickets on line. A family in front of me (at the monorail entrance) had bought the cheapest available tickets to print - understandable. Except, they didn't realize that they had bought CHILDREN'S tickets and they then *did* have to go to the ticket booth to pay the difference to get the correct (adult) tickets. Double check before you click!

Have a magical trip!

ALso, if you lose your ticket before you enter the park, you can go to Geust Relations (to the left of the main entrance). They were able to reprint the missing ticket based on the information from the other ticket purhased at the same time. Ask me how I know this!

Best of luck -- Suzanne
