Print at Home tickets or Electronic Pickup? Which is quicker at the gate

I am going to buy the 7 day 2 park ticket from the Universal site and Im wondering which one is going to take the least amount of time when I get to the park.

As I understand it if I get the Print at home ticket I go directly to the gate and show them my ID and Print at home ticket. Do they then give me a 7 day ticket at the gate? or do I have to use the printout I get for 7 days?

And if I get the Electronic pickup I go to the kiosk and swipe my credit card and it gives me a ticket. Is this the same ticket I will get at the gate if I use the Print at Home ticket? Do I still have to show any ID at the gate?

Any info is greatly appreciated.

The print at home is your ticket but if you want a regular ticket then you have to take it to guest services and show your id and print at home ticket and they will give you regular tickets.
The electronic pick up yes you go to the Kiosk swipe your credit card and put in your confirm number from an email they send you and it will give you regular tickets and if I got any of this wrong other on the boards will tell you and I think the electronic pick up would be quicker if you want regular tickets

I agree with ky07. If you want regular tickets then kiosk pick up is the quickest. If you plan on exchanging the print at home, then I would just go with kiosk pick up and skip the print at home.

The print at home or just that: print at home tickets. They are your tickets and you don't exchange them for another ticket. But if you don't like the size of the ticket then the only way to get a ticket on regular ticket stock is to go to Guest Services which may have a significant wait time.

while not listed as an option, AAA sells different tix media both in offices & on website of orlando branch (even if u r not a member)

i like having a "real" tix in hand once i purchase less fuss, less muss imo

I'm not absolutely certain (somebody will correct me if I'm wrong on this) but I believe that as long as the parks are open you can get you tickets at the kiosk any time that you want.
Though my experience is that the time spent picking up tickets at a kiosk is minimal - when we've used electronic pick up there haven't been lines at a kiosk - so the time that you save on the next morning would probably be less than a couple of minutes.

As long as its the same account you should have no problems

I just printed out our tickets today and my hubby says
"We have to carry those things around all week?"
Now I know I can trade them in for "real" tickets, that will be much better

For those park guests who are staying at a Universal hotel, can any of these steps be taken care of by the front desk? (At WDW, your KTTW card gets you into both your hotel room and the parks).

try the card you ordered and paid with on line.
if it does not work, go to guest services and show the id of the person that ordered the online ticket pick up.
give them your confirmation number and you will receive the park tickets that way.
if your card has expired but has the same numbers and the same 3 numbers on the back, yes , you can get your tickets at the kiosk without an issue.

if the numbers have changed, no. you must go to guest services.
the kiosk stores the tickets and releases them once the confirmation number and prior used cc has been verified by inserting it in the machine.

no, the hotels are run by loews and not universal.
tickets for hard ticket events can be bought at the hotel same as park tickets from the concierge in the hotel lobby stand.

if you order tickets thru the online website, you must redeem them at the park.
