Princesses don't hit, kick or spit! A May/June TR Update 10/17 Snow White Theme Night

:cloud9: We loved the Winnie the Pooh ride! DS said it was his favorite! The line is awesome, it keeps the kids so entertained while waiting!!!

Note to self: find every photopass person! I bought the CD today - so I need to make it worthwhile!

Could you see much of the construction in fantasy land while riding Dumbo?

I am impressed with your DN, too. Katie's Bff that is coming with us - she is a night owl. I think that is one of the reasons her family homeschools is so that they don't have to get up in the am ;) - but that will radically change next week as we get up uber early to make rope drop! We'll see how it all works out!

Wow, the new line looks awesome! Last summer it was all boarded up! I can't wait to take pictures! What is the significance of Mr. Toad handing the deed over?

The Pooh ride used to be Mr Toad's Wild Ride up until 1998. There's also a statue of Mr Toad in the cemetery outside of The Haunted Mansion.

The line was so cute, I know my kids wish they had more time to play in it, they rode later in the week with my DH but I think he rushed them through the line then too!

Definately take advantage of it, you'll be happy you did!

My Dn's schedule is so loopy because that's her parents schedule too. They own a pub and BIL has late nights, while he may not work, he still stays up until they close every night to collect the money so they don't go to sleep at night until at least 3am every night. Leading up to the trip I would be seeing my DN post on FB at like 5am and I was getting nervous about her, lol. Godd luck with your DD BFF!

You got so many great photopass/character pics! I really must make it to MK in the morning sometime...before noon, lol. :)

Great PP pics! :thumbsup2

Love the MK update and the pics of the castle! Yay on having Pinocchio all to yourselves - sounds like that was a fun meet.

Thanks, I have to admit if I didn't have kids I probably wouldn't ever make it to rope drop but it is nice because you can get so much done in those first couple of hours!

Thank you, I love it when the characters interact with the kids more than just a autograph and a picture.

Looks like you had a beautiful morning to enjoy MK!! You are right I haven't seen an abbreviation for the Winnie the Pooh ride...I have to check that one out next trip, the queue was under renovations last time!

I left off with us finishing up Pooh and heading over to take one last ride on an oldie but goodie. Oddly enough, none of my scaredy cat children have ever been afraid of Snow White's Scary Adventure so we all decided to go ride it next.

Bye bye Snow White :sad1:
063-3.jpg

I know I am only one of few people that are going to miss this ride but to me it's just another childhood memory so I'm sad to see it go. But I am excited for the new Snow White coaster!

Here's a couple cute tees I saw in Sir Mickeys

We then went to watch Philharmagic where I had my first major freakout of the trip. We go in, I have Ben in his stroller (we had the stroller as a wheelchair sticker) and I had Sam holding onto the stroller beside me. That leaves 1 more child and 4 big people to watch her. As usual my MIL is in her own world so she's just walking along, DN and DS were there with me and then I see DH walking in from just parking the other stroller. UMMM, where is Emily???????????????????? DH says she's right here with you, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, she's not! I immediately get in panic mode because I just do whenever one of my kids are missing, I told MIL to hold Sam's hand and the stroller and the rest of us run outside searching frantically. Thankfully Christian finds her right away, guess where she was? DH had left her in the stroller! She had just gotten out and was looking for us. DH still swears he didn't leave her in the stroller, but he did. As you can imagine I was annoyed, for the rest of the trip I made sure I had my eyes on all of the kids at all times! Now I take my kids to all kinds of places while DH is at work, we go to the mall, museums in DC, the zoo, you name it, I like to keep the kids busy in the summer so we do lots of things. By myself I have never lost a kid, they know to stay beside me at all times, they do not walk off but when other people are around guess what? Someone gets lost, Sam has gotten lost both in the National Aquarium and for a few minutes in NYC once, both times my MIL and DH were with us, those were just the big ones but it seems when other people are around I tend to loosen the reins a bit and assume that one of the other adults are watching them. Well I learned my lesson. Ok enough about that, can you tell I'm still a bit upset? :rotfl:

We then saw Fairy Godmother by the castle, my DD still calls her Baboo. This came from Bippity Boppity Boo, actually all of the kids call her Baboo so Fairy Godmother was probably confused at first when they ran towards her yelling Baboo, lol. I love Fairy Godmother, she is so warm and sweet to the kids. We run into her later in the trip as well and it's something Emily will never forget;)

Everyone took a turn trying to pull the sword out, once I told the big kids (DN, DS and DH) that the sword really does ccome out sometimes, they were really pulling on it, lol.

We started to walk towards Crystal Palace, we had a little time before our ADR but DH wanted to try and check in early. As we were walking I look over and see Tiana and Naveen's gazebo through the trees, being the character lovers that we are, they were on the top of our must see list so I dragged everyone over to see them. And would you believe that there was noone waiting to see them? So the kids got to spend a good amount of time with them. I have to say they may have been my favorites, totally in character, the accents were awesome! At one point Sam sneezed and Naveen said I see that you are secreting mucus! So funny!

After leaving those two we were walking passed the entrance to Adventureland and I saw another PP guy so you know what happened next!

PHOT103.jpg

PHOT104.jpg

Just inside Adventureland DH saw a line and found out they were waiting for Ariel and Eric to come out. He knows Ariel is my favorite so he told me to get in line with the kids and he would go check into CP. I was like a little girl waiting to see them, we've seen Ariel a few times before, both at Akershus and in her grotto but I've never seen Eric. Don't laugh at me but when I was a senior in H.S I fell in love with The Little Mermaid. When I went off to college I got a Little Mermaid comforter, sheets and pillows, lol. As luck would have it my roommate was also a Disney nut and she had Mickey Mouse bedding! Anyway back to Ariel and Eric, we waited maybe 10 minutes until we got to the front.

We then made our way over to CP for our 10:20 breakfast ADR!

EDIT - I can't believe I forgot to write about Eric! My DN wanted me to take a pic of her with Ariel and Eric with her phone and while I was doing that Ben tried to climb in his stroller. He ended up falling down, he was ok but Eric ran over to him to make sure he was ok, he picked him up and said how he shipwrecks his boat all of the time too. Ariel came over to see if he was ok and gave him a kiss. It was so sweet, seriously how can anyone not llike the characters? Little things like that are the reason I love Disney!

Looks like you had a beautiful morning to enjoy MK!! You are right I haven't seen an abbreviation for the Winnie the Pooh ride...I have to check that one out next trip, the queue was under renovations last time!

We had a great morning, I love morning EMH at MK, you can get so much done!

I can't believe he left Emily in the stroller!! She was just parked? Oh my. But, I know what you mean - with more people - it's easier to think that someone else is doing the watching - but if it's just you - you at least know who is the responsible party! Did you actually get into the Philharmagic??

I have never seen "The Princess and the Frog!" I wonder if I put it in my netflix queue today if I could have it here before we leave on Saturday - then I could watch it when we are there.

And Eric - what happened to his hair?? ;)

Aww that is so sweet about Eric helping your DS!!! That is a true Disney character.

I hope Snow White will still be open next year when we go! Everyone BUT me got to ride it this trip. :sad1: I had an upset tummy hit me while we were in line. Ugh.

I'm glad you were able to find Emily quickly, that is so scary when your child is lost, especially in a big place like Disney World!!!

You guys got some really great PP pics! I am definitely jealous. We barely got any this year, but at least we got some I guess.

I can't believe that your DH left Emily in the stroller! At least she hadn't moved far so you were able to find her quickly. Losing one of my kids at Disney is a huge fear of mine.

We love Naveen and Tiana, but didn't stand in line to meet them--the line was too long and my kids wanted to swim (of course!). Later DD was upset that we didn't get to meet them, but it was her choice after all! Maybe next time!

I can't wait to ride Snow White before it closes. Love the pics of the tees.

Uh oh on DH losing Emily! :headache: I'm glad you managed to find her and enjoyed the rest of your day.

I also think it is sweet that Eric and Ariel fussed over Ben when he fell from his stroller :goodvibes

We did end up seeing Philharmagic, it's one the kids favorites so even after all of the craziness we had to see it!

I can't believe you haven't seen The Princess and the Frog! We love that movie, it's so good. If you have a laptop and can stream Netflix through it, the movie is available instantly right now.

I don't know what was with his hair, a bad wig?:rotfl:

I LOVE the face characters, they area all so great with kids and adults too ;)

That's a bummer you didn't get to ride Snow White, I don't know when it's closing but we won't be back until 2013 so I knew this was our last time to ride it :sad1:

We only got so many PP because I was a complete crazy person about it :rotfl: By day 7 you can see the smiles are very forced by a certain memeber of my family because they were sick of taking pictures, lol.

I'm sorry you guys didn't get to meet Tiana and Naveen, they would definately have been worth the wait if your DD likes them. I don't think anyone knew they were back there because honestly there was noone around them, even when we left, noone was coming to see them. We saw Tiana later in the week in a covered area near Aloha Isle while it was raining and there was only a small wait for her then too!

I can't wait to ride Snow White before it closes. Love the pics of the tees.

Eric was just wonderful :cloud9: and Ariel was so sweet too!

Wow! What a great morning!

I would love to ride the Snow White ride. I have never been on it. But, my kids see the word "scary" in the name and refuse to go anywhere close.

Poor Emily, being left in the stroller. I agree with a PP who said when you are alone, you know you have to keep track of everyone, but when there is help - well, you expect some help!

Your pictures with the Fairy Godmother are so sweet!

I can't believe Tiana and Naveen didn't have a line! Wow! I will have to watch for that on our next trip.

I have never seen Eric with Ariel either. I wonder how long he will stick around. I love it when characters are really good with the kids.

That stinks that you've never gotten to ride the Snow White ride. I have heard that alot of kids are afraid to ride it, I can see where some parts could be a bit spooky for little ones.

You should definately try to see Tiana and Naveen, them and Ariel and Eric interacted so well with the kids!

Our next stop was Crystal Palace for our 10:20am breakfast ADRs. If you read my PTR you'll remember that we originally had 8:05 am ADRs but when they changed the opening time of MK to 8am I changed my ADR time because I didn't want to miss out on that first hour. Besides a big reason I made the ADR for 8:05 was so we could get into the park early and hopefully gets some pics in front of the castle in an almost empty park.

DH had went and checked in while the kids and I were seeing Ariel and Eric. I made it over there just around our ADR time and we only had to wait about 5 mniutes before we were sat.

The kids were starving so before our server even came to get drinks orders I went over and got them plates of food and I was able to get myself a plate before the characters staring coming around.

118-2.jpg

120-2.jpg

Tigger came around first, he was happy to see that the boys had him on their t-shirts!

124-1.jpg

127-1.jpg

Next came over Ben's favorite Pooh

134-1.jpg

136-2.jpg

Sam and Emily then got up to do the parade with Tigger, unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of it because I took this opportunity to actually eat something, lol. Piglet visited with us next, Piglet had a thing for my DH, they were hugging all over him. We were all cracking up at the table. I got a picture of it but my DH looks totally goofy in it and I know he'd kll me if he knew I put it on here so I'll be nice :rotfl:

143-2.jpg

Last up was Eeyore whom Emily has a soft spot for.

156-1.jpg

158-1.jpg

We got out of there around 11:30 and headed over to Tomorrowland, on the way guess what we did? More PP pictures of course, lol. I wasn't crazy about these ones though so I'll only share 1.

PHOT123.jpg

Our first stop in Tomorrowland was Monster's Inc Laugh Floor, we all love this one.

172-1.jpg

Can you tell she has him wrapped around her finger?
162-2.jpg

Next up was Buzz Lightyear, once again the competetive sides in DH and I came out, can't remember the score but he won, I blamed Emily though because she was my ride partner and she kept spinning the car :rotfl:

165-2.jpg

166-2.jpg

167-1.jpg

170-1.jpg

After Buzz we made our way over to Space Mountain, Ben of course sat this one out with MIL and while Emily wanted very badly to go, she was a couple of inches too short so she went with with them into the arcade while the rest of us rode. MIL bought the boys some cute Tomorrow t-shirts in the shop there, you'll see them on the boys later on. We came out of the ride and spent some time in the arcade, MIL had gotten alot of coins so they wanted to stay and use them up. At this point it was maybe 1pm and we decided to make our way out of the park and back to the resort for a break. But Emily had one more thing she wanted to do in Tomorrowland, something she was too small for on our last trip. Any guesses?

174-2.jpg

The dreaded Stitch's Great Escape! The boys rode this 3 years ago, DH, ODS and MIL rode with them while I waited with DD, both boys came off of the ride in tears. Emily for some reason wanted to ride this, even though her brothers told her how much they hated it, she wanted to try it out for herself so MIL and DH stayed with the young boys while Christian, DN and I rode with Emily. From how scared the boys were I thought it was going to be scarier but I didn't think it was too bad, Alien Encounter was scary. The smell alone from Sticth's burp will keep me away though.

Couple pics of the boys while we were waiting for MIL and DN to finish up some purchases in Stitch's gift shop, DN got a stuffed Stitch and MIL bought Sam a Vinylmation and Ben a Cars art set.

171-1.jpg

173-1.jpg

We finally started to head out of the park, DH then decided we should all get ice cream so he stopped at ice cream parlor and asked what we wanted. Nobody including the kids actually wanted ice cream so instead of him just going in and getting himself some he pouted the rest of the way out of the park. We had to have a little talking to about how he had to act like an adult and stop pouting becase he didn't get his ice cream. I know crazy I had to speak to a 41 yr old about pouting but he gets in these moods and I was not going to have him ruin our day over ice cream. We finally got out of the park and back to the resort for swim/rest time.

Next up, would we ever make it back to the park?

I love the Crystal Palace for breakfast. My favorite is that puffed cinnamon french toast. Sigh...yum! We are actually doing a breakfast here during my girls trip.

Buzz is one of my favorite rides. I have been watching those you-tube videos on how to rack up the points. I have the need to impress the children on the trip! Now, the key will be if I can actually remember the high point spots.

This was the first time we've done breakfast there and I agree it was so good! I also love the dinner too so it will be a hard choice next trip.

I need to find out where those spots are! Sam, my 7 yr old got over 300,000 points on our second day at MK, he must have hit a couple of those!

Looks like a fun time at Crystal Palace. Love the pics of the the character flower things. Also love the kids matching shirts to go along with your character breakfast!
