I am so excited for my DD's first trip to Disney (she's 5) We want to plan a princess meal--can you give me some input how is the one at Epcot?
Thanks

We had lunch there and we had a great time. Our 2 DD saw Aurora, Cinderella, Belle, Ariel (in a ball gown) and Jasmine. We enjoyed the food and this year you get a photo with the meal instead of paying seperate. There is a cold buffet for starters (some norwegian fav and cold cuts, cheese and some fruit I think) then you order an entree, Its nice because you can get the kids something to nibble on before the meal comes. We really enjoyed it. I know from reading on this bored some people really enjoyed breakfast as well. It was the best princess interaction we had

We usually do the breakfast here and it is really very good. There is great interaction with the princesses and the food is good. Every time we go, the servers are the best of any place we eat. They go out of their way to make you happy.

It is a great breakfast. Also it gets you into the World Showcase early if you go for breakfast. It is nice just to stroll in while very few people are around and see the sights. You can't go past Norway but it's still in a little. Belle was meeting everyone and taking pictures which I guess is now part of the meal. We had great interaction with all the Princess and we are heading back again in June! Your DD will love it as much as ours have and my youngest is 12 and looking forward to it as Belle is her favorite. Have a good time.

YO

We loved Akershus! We did breakfast and will do it again on our next trip. It's a great way to meet 5 princesses and have a nice meal - very relaxed atmosphere and a beautiful setting inside thie "castle". This is a great choice for a princess experience.

We did dinner here. If we were to do it again, we would probably do breakfast. Dinner was okay but not a lot my incredibly picky eaters would eat. Ariel took pictures when you entered and Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Belle in Blue Dress, and Alice in Wonderland were there. Well worth it for one TS credit. Going to try CRT this year. Paying OOP for that. Not going to use 2 TS credits for a breakfast.

I've done the breakfast twice and we love it - and we've been just a party of adults both times. Watching the kids around us is part of the fun ;)

I agree here. done breakfast twice.

Our very first (ever) character meal was breakfast at Akershus- without reservations even. LOL (we were so naive back then- it was before finding this board/spur of the moment first trip to WDW and they were so kind as to fit us in even though we were ignorant to the need to plan months ahead!)
It was great.

We tried it for dinner years later- no go. The food is just .... not that good for even non-picky eater children and maybe even adults. I mean I had a hard time finding stuff I liked too. :confused3 Breakfast was better... we'd do breakfast again. :)

Thanks for all the input. I was planning on breakfast on our last day, and my DD is probably most desperate to see Ariel and Sleeping Beauty. So I was hoping to find somewhere that she might make an apperance. Also our flight leaves at 2:15pm.... do you think it is feasible to do the breakfast and make it to the airport by 11:30/noon?

From what I understand, Ariel isn't usually at breakfast, but is usually at lunch and dinner. We're hoping to see her by having a late ADR for breakfast (10:20) and taking our time eating. Maybe we'll get to see her if she's there for lunch. I wonder if there are certain days of the week that she's more likely to be there?
Also, unless you have an international flight to catch, I would think that being at the airport by 12:30 would be plenty of time - correct me if I'm wrong.
Have a wonderful vacation and be sure to take tons of pictures. Lauri

Loved the dinner here. We had Belle in yellow dress to greet us, then Snow White, Alice in Wonderland, Jasmine and Cinderella (she was a real surprise as we had read she wasn't at Akershus). We hope to go again next time but we are hoping to meet either Pocahontas or Ariel. Fingers crossed.

My mother and I are booking a breakfast here for my DD5. We only got glimpses of princesses when we went last year, so this year, we really want to make it an experience for her.

Everyone I have asked about Akershus has said that it's absolutely perfect for breakfast....so here we come!
