Princess Weekend 2022

Does anyone think PW will have a special Magic Band for sale?
I’m not sure I remember seeing one offered in the preorder Merch for MW. I think they offered one for PO last year before everything got cancelled. I feel like they are phasing these out somewhat.

Whelp, I'm now officially in for the Princess Challenge.

I was on the fence with whether to pair this weekend or the Spring Surprise weekend with Marathon weekend. Between a preference to escape the Northeast in Feb, Spring Surprise taking place the same weekend as the POT race I've done since I started running, my favorite current festival being Festival of the Arts and LOVING the Mulan theme for a half, there was a lot to nudge me towards Princess. What finally pushed it over the edge this morning was a BCV studio became available for all my dates.

Now that I've finalized my decision, I just know rundisney is going to announce a Figment themed 10 miler for the Spring Surprise weekend... :rotfl2:

Ugh at the no transportation.
Uber and Lyft don’t run that early. Right?

Well that rules me out. I'm arriving super late on Wednesday night so yoga on Thursday morning would be a bit too much, but anyway I won't be renting a car so...
Me too. I really wanted to experience this but no way am I renting a car for 1 morning.

Technically drivers can be available at that hour (at least where I live) but I'm not comfortable counting on that at 4-430am.

No transportation?! That’s ridiculous! I’m very disappointed that I can’t participate 😢😢

ETA: I sent a very polite email to runDisney explaining how disappointed I am in their choice to not provide transportation for yoga.

wow the no transportation rules out soo many people... I was not coming in till friday so I was not going to be able to do it anyways. But if I did have time that would make it so I could not do it.

The no transportation thing is making me pause too. I uber that early sometimes in NYC, but outside of NYC I'm not sure I'm down for it. I couldn't rent a car if I wanted to because I don't drive. So I guess my only option would be staying at the Poly so that I could walk to TTC ... that's a little outside my budget.

I wonder if they aren’t offering transportation because it’s going to be such a limited amount of participants?

That's what I figured too.

Would there be that many rideshare drivers at 4 am? Not exactly peak time at WDW, with all those late closing bars 😏

I was wondering if they weren't offering transportation to purposefully keep it small. As it is, a lot of people probably won't have arrived anyway. I put in on my calendar back when it was first announced.

Suggestion: Someone who WILL have a car who is planning to do yoga can post where they are staying and could offer to transport “friends.” I’m not doing Princess, but if I were, I could have 4 other people ride with me in my car. And I think Uber and Lyft DO run early in Orlando because I have seen others post that people have used them for transportation from their hotels during runDisney events, but they suggest you book early.

I'll have a car, so assuming I am able to register for yoga, I'm happy to take 2 people, since my cousin says she wants to do it too. I'm staying at Beach Club Villas.

(I'm getting in on the 22nd-ish, so we can even meet up ahead of time so we all know we aren't, as a friend once said, "big galoots" LOL)

Question for you all: which hotel out of all of them screams the most “princess” themed to you besides the obvious princess rooms?

I love POR's royal rooms, but Grand Floridian villas make me feel like a princess. :)

Anyone staying at the Riviera on 2/24 who might have a car and wants to carpool to TTC for yoga? :flower1:

I really want to do the yoga, but I’m not renting a car for that day. Uber and Lyft will probably be available, but what if they’re not? So stressful!
