Anyone done the princess tea with Aurora? Sounds kind of pricey, but sounds like fun...

Tell me all about it if you have been, please!

Curious too, I thought about it

We did this during the trial run in October.

Although it was very well done in general - I REALLY would advise you to think about spending your vacation dollars more wisely. It lasts for about an hour or so, the only character interaction is Princess Aurora, along with another costumed singer who was very good.

The food was yummy, but not plentiful, and the "gifts" were really cheesy if you ask me, especially considering the price.

My then 5 year old liked it, but didn't love it and my 7 year old could not wait to leave!!! (O. K., she is not exactly the biggest princess fan, but I thought we would do better than we did.)

Overall, I would say it is well done, but really for younger princess fans, and at those prices, I just don't know if that makes sense.

I mean, I don't know if they will remember it several hundred dollars worth. For the same price, you could do the Wonderland Tea Party, the dinner with Cinerella and the mice at 1900 Park Fare, and still have money left to do one of the princess
breakfasts.

Of course, this is only my opinion and if you have a HUGE Aurora fan, it would be nice, but I would give it SERIOUS consideration.

My DD really wants to do this in October. I'm still waiting to see if they offer it during our vacation time. She is really interested in the Disney Doll. However, she has also commented that the Mad hatter Tea party would be fun, too. Anyone's DD really like it? Was the doll really cool?

This past week I made a PS for the afternoon tea at the Garden View Lounge Grand Floridian for 2:00pm. It was myself, sister and two nieces ages 9 & 10. We loved it, it was a special event just for the girls I had pre-ordered two of the Cinderella's Slipper desserts @$8.00 a piece. Then we eached ordered off the tea menu, both the girls had:Mrs. Potts Tea - For the younger tea lover in your party, we offer a variety of tea sandwiches, tuna salad, ham and cheese, peanut butter and jelly on white bread. We serve our magical dark tea (chocolate milk), followed by a choice of 2 pastries $8.50 per guest.

My sister and I had the:Buckingham Palace - Our traditional tea sandwiches, scones and jam tarts complimented by fresh strawberries and cream, or a selection of freshly baked pastries, along with your choice of tea. $17.50 per guest.
We had a late breakfast then waited until the Tea and ate this as a light lunch.

We all enjoyed the tea and this will now be part of every trip. But I feel we also received the same experience at a much lower cost then one of the Character Teas. I believe the girls liked feeling a little grown up and enjoyed sipping tea out of the beautiful china cups.

Love the photo, thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the links to the photos of the two tea parties especially geared to kids, BambyTamby. My DD told me that she would rather do the Wonderland Tea Party. The Afternoon Tea looks fun, too. Maybe, Grandma, Aunt, DD and me could do that.

Thanks for all the info! I think this is just a bit out of the price range for this trip and I am going to look into the other tea parties. DD6 already has one of those dolls...blah blah blah...did someone just hear my husband droning on about $$$$ and an excessive amount of Disney toys...sorry, must have been HEARING THINGS!! Ha

DH thinks the Princess Tea would be a wonderful way for DD and I to celebrate her birthday on our next trip! princess: (Of course, I didn't tell him how much it costs, lol.)

thanks so much for the links and the beautiful pics from the afternoon tea. My daughter is turning 5 Feb 2005 and we will be celebrating it at disney. all the ideas are perfect for our princess. she will be in heaven!

question- for the mad hatter party- you leave them there correct? is there age limit or will my 3 year old son be able to go in with his big sis? I think he might enjoy it too.

any other ideas for princess themes? we for sure will try and get cindy's castle for her bday breakfast and dinner at 1900 park fare. Im not so sure about the one in epcot though.

thanks so much ::MinnieMo

My daughter and I play tea party at home, complete with the card tablecloths and napkins that my mother embroidered sixty years ago (a perfect fit for Lucy's little table)! These are special moments for Lucy and me and we are looking forward to attending the tea party with Aurora. Aurora is Lucy's favorite princess and the whole experience couldn't be more tailormade for us if we designed it ourselves. These moments are memory making moments. In a wink and a blink Lucy will be going off to college and I will be left with my memories. WDW ia a great place to make them!

Lucy's mom -- Please post a review for us when you get back!!! (Aurora is my favorite too. DD is a bit too young for a favorite yet, but I'll be sure to take care of that, lol.) I am now thinking that the perfect birthday for DD would be a big box with a pretty pink bow containing an Aurora gown and an invitation to Tea!!! princess:
