Has anyone done the Princess Tea that's like $200 at the GF, and the child gets a doll?

My daughter loved the Alice in WOnderland Tea Party $35 ish, but only for her, and wondered if the $200 was really worth the extra $$$$. Also, I wanted to know if it was good for a bonding experience (wanted some mother / daughter time).

Opinions, please.

I'm interested to hear about this also. I think this would be such a great time for my daughter and me, but I would like to hear some comments since it does cost so much.

Maybe someone will share their experience. :D

While I haven't done this tea, I have taken my girls to the Grand Floridian afternoon tea. I personally wouldn't spend the $200 on tea for me and my DD.

Another option would be to make a PS for the regular afternoon tea. You could even buy one of the Disney dolls at World of Disney or any gift shop and give it to her there. If you wanted to call it a Princess tea party, you could buy yourself those little plastic crowns at the Card & Party store. This would be a much cheaper option. But then, it wouldn't have Princess Aurora telling the story, or whatever. You would have to decide how much that is worth to you.

My DDs and I and my mom went to the tea (the regular one) and had a beautiful time. I recommend it. It was a fun opportunity to get alittle dressed up and have some fun girl time. Afterwards we went to POR and went on the carriage ride.

I have posted this on another thread before, but we did this tea in October, and although it was lovely and for the most part very well done, I REALLY think your money is better spent elsewhere. The food is minimal (as with most teas) although tasty, and the bracelet and crown are very "cheap" especially for the price you pay.

I honestly think that for a "bonding" experience, you could do the less expensive, but still very lovely tea at the GF and then take your daughter shopping or on some other special outing and still come out cheaper.

Aurora does appear during this event, but not throughout - only at the end (the last 15 or 20 minutes)

My daughters enjoyed this (well one more so than the other), but were not overwhelmed.
