I'm not sure if this has been posted yet but since it is about to end, I thought I'd give it a post.

DVC Members can get 10% off the new Princess Tea Party they are running at the GF. Regular price for a child and a adult is $200. Here are the details about the event:

Perfectly Princess Tea Party at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

In this delightfully magical morning, young ladies, ages 4-12, will experience a real Princess Tea Party at the Garden View Tea Room at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. (An adult must accompany all children.) This five-part party is led by a professional actress/singer, named Miss Rose Petal, and culminates in a "dream come true" experience with a personal meeting with Princess Aurora, Disney's Sleeping Beauty. The Princess Tea also includes tea and brunch, a Princess dream dessert for all Guests, a My Disney Girl doll, elegantly dressed in her Sleeping Beauty gown, to keep and play with forever, a princess bracelet, a special "gift" for adult guests, and a "Best Friend" certificate so little Princesses can name their My Disney Girl doll as their best friend for life.

Pam thanks for the post. I read this I think in mousavers and had phone in hand until I got to the price. I don't even think the 10% is enough to make me pick the phone back up:(

Yeah, I thought it was a misprint at first! I guess "the doll" must be fairly expensive.

I heard somewhere that this sold out for the time period that they were offering it.

If they make this a regular event the 10% discount will help me to swallow the cost as this is something we would probably do for our daughter.

The price seems steep, but when compared to things like the American Girls events it doesn't seem so out of line. It will be interesting to hear some reports once the event starts.

Am I understanding that this event ends in November? Or is it just discontinued for the holidays and then back up and running after the first of the year? Is the doll the same size as an American Girl doll?

This is an "experiment". If it's true that it's selling out, they may very well bring it back sometime after January. (Good point about shutting it down for the holidays.) I'm curious about the "doll" too. It must be gold-plated. ;)

When I read this to my hubby he thought it sounded great. I thought he was insane! That is way too much money for what is described!
Let's see...
For me and my two daughters it would be $335! If hubby wanted to come along it would be $400 for a family of four!!! And this doesn't include tax, but I guess if we get DVC discounts...

Over the top!!!
