When making reservations online, I somewhat recall that Princess Storybook Breakfast requires a credit card to hold it.

1 - Do they bill the credit card upfront?
2 - How hard is it to get a seating first thing in the morning? (close to 8 AM)

1- yesyou need a credit card number to hold it
2- no you don't pay upfront only if you don't show up.
3- can't help you with this one as we do dinner ever ytrip

What PP said about yes, needing a credit card to book, and only if you cancel do you get charged.

I was able to get an 8:05 am ADR with no problem but I booked 180 days out- not sure if it is normally a harder one to obtain?

I will give it a go. I make my reservations in the morning and have 11 to make tomorrow. :) Hopefully I can get everything I want. :)

I had some pretty good luck and got everything I wanted and it was actually very simple!

I found it is easier to find more availability by actually typing in a preferred time vs. breakfast, lunch, or dinner... it pulls a lot more options!!

Good luck and hope you get everything you want!! :goodvibes

It's a wonderful character experience! It is difficult to get those earlier times if you don't book early. Credit cards are only charged for no shows. Enjoy!

1) They are not SUPPOSED to hit the card.
. . . the card is just a guarantee
. . . but, frequently, they do charge the card
. . . if on DDP, you get it back at the podium
. . . sometimes, you can get it reversed prior to ADR day
2) All depends upon
. . . how many other want the same ressie
. . . when you call in to make you ressie
. . . on any given day, Only-The-Shadow-Knows

If you don't get an early morning right away, keep trying- I booked at 180 days out (for a non-peak day in May), and the earliest I could get was 8:30. I dilligently checked every day for about two months, and finally found an 8:05! It was well worth it- walking through Epcot practically alone was priceless!

by what you want the most, including times, and which ones you think are the hardest. I only did seven this past time but had no problem getting what I wanted 180 days out.

Not answering a question but just wanted to add we love the breakfast there, they have the best potatoes I've ever eaten. Hope yo get the time you wanted.

We ate there on our first trip, but lunch and nothing came off my card for it except the tip I put on it as we were on the dining plan. It is I believe a $10 charge per person if you don't come and don't cancel. I also seem to remember something about 48 hours, but that could have been something else.

My daughter said she wanted to go there again so we have a breakfast reservation for our next trip because I heard that is the best meal to have there. The appetizer buffet was good, but the entrée just so so. My daughter enjoyed her lunch, but mine was just okay. I went for the princesses interaction though, so I was happy.

We met 8 princesses on the trip and got 5 of them with this lunch (Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Cinderella, and Snow White). They were very friendly and sociable and interacted nicely with my daughter beyond signing her book and taking a picture. I put my daughter in a little formal but comfortable dress I got off ebay and it made for some really cute pictures. They also do a little princess parade during the meal and that was cute. I sat her on the aisle side of the table alone so they could focus on her and make it easy for pictures and kept my son on the opposite side with me.

But after they'd all come through, I moved him to her side where the high chair was and Ariel came back and we had one of the most precious moments of the trip. She asked my daughter if she could have him for her collection and when she said no, Ariel bent down to talk to him and kiss him good-bye. The little flirt ate it up, even the people at the next table were laughing. I was snapping away with the camera, but my favorite shot is after she left and he is sitting there with her lipstick print on him with the most accomplished look on his 10 month old face. :lmao:

I believe our reservation is at 8:30 or 8:35, but with my crew that is about as early as I want it. 8:05 was available when I checked though and we are going Thanksgiving week. This reservation is on the Tuesday before turkey day and I did make them 180 days out.

If we are talking about akershus then yes you need a CC to hold it and they will not charge the card.

CRT charges the card

180+10 out you should have the pick of ressies

good luck
