Has anyone done this? I have booked the breakfast because my daughter is a huge Ariel fan but I was reading somewhere that Ariel DOES NOT appear at breakfast - is this true?????? If so I need to switch fast - we are scheduled for July 14! Please help!!!

First off, I imagine that since your dd is such a fan, (unless this is your first trip) that the place to meet Ariel is Ariels Grotto in Fantasy Land at the MK (unless this no longer exists, its been awhile for us). Also, dont miss the Voyage of the Little Mermaid show at MGMJ studios.

For breakfast that day, why not do CS, at your resort, or at any of the parks scruptious bakeries, that could be a serious treat

We did it last week and Ariel was not there. The princesses were Aurora, Belle (up front for photos only), Snow White, Jasmine and Mulan.

I believe I've read on the boards before that Ariel has infrequently shown up, but the odds are against you. We've been three times and have never seen Ariel. Last week, we were greeted by Belle (photo op as you walk in), then had Jasmine, Snow White, Aurora, and Mary Poppins come by our table. We enjoy PSB, but Ariel isn't a likelihood for you. The suggestion for Ariel's Grotto in MK is a good one. You could do the PSB, anyway, for the other princesses then on another day take in MK and get in line early for Ariel so that your wait isn't long. Good luck.

We had a late breakfast there in late March. The princesses there for breakfast were Belle (greeting), Aurora, Mulan, Jasmine, and Mary Poppins. However, as we were finishing, they were getting ready for lunch arrivals and Ariel was being set up to greet lunch visitors in her ball gown. We got to see her, but were not allowed to take pictures since she was for lunch guests. There is apparently no guarantee as to what princesses you will encounter!

Thanks guys - I was planning on taking her to see Ariel at the MK (this is our first trip since 2000 and her first trip ever). I was hoping she would be able to have a meal with Ariel floating around. I'll have to rethink those ressies.

We were there in January and Ariel was the greeting princess in her ball gown at lunch. Maybe uf the menu suits you and your family, you could have lunch or dinner there instead. Ariel is usually there at lunch and dinner.

Ariel is on the schedule at PSB for lunch and/or dinner but NOT breakfast. Of course, it's always subject to change but that is the schedule.

We saw her twice at lunch in Oct and Dec of last year.

Belle in her yellow gown is the greeter when Ariel is not there.

Thanks, I'v also read that as the Greeter she really doesn't spend time in the restaurant during the meal. Is that true?

IF so then maybe I will stay with breakfast becuase I;m afraid she will be more concerned about when Ariel will come to the table and not enjoy the rest of the princess.

I guess we can always head to MK after breakfast and see Ariel in her Grotto.

I wish Disney would promote her more - its very hard when you have a die hard Little Mermaid fan!

She is at the entrance for photos and autographs and doesn't come to the tables.

Just as Cinderella doesn't circulate at CRT anymore.

I was there the first week of May for breakfast and Ariel was one of the princesses circulating; Belle was the greeter. We didn't have the greatest experience there. We got there 10 minutes prior to our reservation, one of the first seatings, and didn't actually sit until 50 minutes later. They "misplaced" our check-in slip, which would have been an understandable mistake if it wasn't for the fact we returned to the check in desk 2 more times after we saw just about everyone else getting seated. We politely reiterated our reservation time and both times they brushed us off with "yours will be ready soon" until we were THE ONLY ones left outside. Finally, when my husband questioned how we could be the last ones outside, when people who were admittedly LATE for their reservations were already seated, they actually CHECKED and said they must have misplaced our slip. Mistakes happen, but with our second inquiry, there was no excuse for their error. When we were seated, everyone else was finishing up their breakfast and our waitress said our table was there EMPTY the whole time. No apology from the CMs at the check-in, just a "your table is ready." Plus, Mary Poppins left after the first seating, so that didn't go over well with my daughter. Also, in hindsight, if I ever go there again, I will make it a lunch or dinner as the breakfast "food" wasn't nearly worth the price. CRT (lunch) on the other hand, was worth every penny.

Apologies in advance if this is a dumb question - I'm not as wise to Princess-lore as most DISers. But doesn't Ariel (at least the DisneyWorld version) have a tail instead of legs. I would think it impossible for her to visit tables. Is she ever allowed to do things that require moving around?

She has legs in the movie when Ursula gives her 3 days to find true love and be kissed by Prince Eric.

She wears her green dress at PSB and she has legs.

We went in March and Ariel was in the lobby for pictures and autographs. She was great with my daughter so I would highly recommend a lunch ressie for a big Ariel fan. I know it is not guaranteed but if she is there it would be so worth it... was for us... we had a great time at Norway.

when we went, ariel wasn't there....but the breakfast was still so great! i hope you don't cancel!
