Princess/Pirate Birthday Party Ideas Needed

I had planned to have a princess party for my dd 4th bday party, but realized we would be inviting several boys and did not want them to feel left out. I decided to take a page from Disney and do a Princess and Pirate Party. Does anyone have any ideas about invitaions, favors, cake, etc.? I thought about the girls decorating crowns or wands and the boys doing swords or eye patches. Thanks!

I am having a P&P bday for my DD. The girls stuff is all Princess from Dollar stores, and boys are Pirates, with gold coins, Pirate bags etc.
I did my own invitations on the computer with Clipart of Mickey & minnie in pirate and princess gear. A treasure hunt is also fun. we did this for DD's before they found out they were going to P&P party in Disney. Hid lots of stuff and they had clues and treasure map to find things.
