Found some shoes for Tim. Ordered them on Zappos.com and they should be here before the end of the week so he can start breaking them in.
We also got an envelope from Give Kids The World, the official welcome packet.
It explained how the village works, no money needed, what is provided, what kind of activities they do, websites for further details.
It also had a map from the airport, and a map of the village itself with all the villa numbers. I noticed that you can't see on the map which ones are new, so there's no avoiding the orange one.
No it really looks like it's laid out nicely. There's the playground on one end, a small pool on the other, and everything else in between.
I wasn't expecting the letter until a week or so before, so it caught me by surprise. Tim had fun reading it, since he hasn't heard about it all before like I have.
He especially liked the description of the ice cream shop being open all day. He's just a big kid.
I'll show it to the girls tonight. Tessa keeps asking when we can stay at a hotel again. This is going to be so much more fun, and I'm sure we'll have trouble explaining to her why every hotel in the future is not going to be like this!
