We are having a princess tea party for my daughter's 6th birthday. The girls will all be arriving in their princess finest. We have invited 19 girls and I need to come up with some budget princess themed favor ideas. Any suggestions? TIA:)

Oriental Trading and even Michaels have some decorate your own crown and wand things. You could use those as favors. Or make some crown shaped jumbo cookies with pink icing and wrap them in cello. Or pink chocolate crown or princess lollipops (Michael's has the molds).

Our Walmart has tea sets on sale from chirstmas season for $2.50. They come in pink and purple and do not look chirstmas or anything. You may be able to find white dress gloves after Easter on sale cheap. Sound like fun!

Speaking of Walmart, I also just saw a princess party pack there that comes with enough stuff for 4 kids, a crown, want, earrings and I forget what else. It was in a big tub and there were 4 different colors in each tub. It was $10. So $2.50 per kid is pretty good.

I was just at Target today and they had packages of princess party gift bags in the dollar section. They were white lunch bags with princesses on them.

They would be cute to put the gifts in.

My DD is having a princess party for bday this year. For favors we are going to make some sand art key chains from Oriental Trading. DD loves Ariel and Oriental Trading has some tropical fish sand art. It is like 7.00 per dozen and we are also doing make your own crowns and candy necklaces. Our candy store in the mall has candy necklaces and bracelets 4 for a dollar. The dollar tree also has some princess water toys and bubbles that I'm using for prizes for the games.

When my DD was little she had a princess party. We made necklaces and bracelets with kits from Oriental Trading as a craft/goodie bag item. I printed coloring book pages from online of all the different princesses and gave each child a homemade coloring book and some crayons (purchased at back to school time for pennies a pack). I think I also added some princess stickers that a friend found on clearance somewhere. Then we did a pinata so they had candy from that (purchased on clearance after Halloween the month before so it was fresh).

Oddly, I think the favorite thing was the coloring pages. The kids really got into coloring them while waiting for their parents to pick them up. One girls declared to her dad it was the best party ever. :goodvibes

Instead of goody bags may i suggest having 2 craft stations for the girls and having them make and take princess goods?
couple of ideas:
decorating princess crowns with sticky jewels, stickers...
making jewelry with shimmer painted pasta on gold stretchy cords (bracelets or necklaces)
making princess themed birdhouses from old juicy juice bottles
making princess puppets

I gave my daughter a Princess Party a few years ago and made a lot of the party favors. And they were a big hit. I made princess wands with wooden dowel sticks, pink paint, glitter, curling ribbons and a bunch of pink/cream roses. I taped the roses to the ends of the dowels, then painted them pink and sprinkled the glitter on them. Then I took curling ribbons in about three or four colors and tied them under the roses and curled them.

I also made crowns out of pipe cleaners, colored tulle, and the curling ribbons as well. I took the pipe cleaners and made a crown, then tied a long piece of tulle down the back till it almost hit the floor and then tied on curling ribbons in different colors and lengths down the back and curled them.

We also did a pin the lips to the frog. We drew a picture of a frog minus the lips. I then cut out lips from red foam and attached double sided tape to them.

It was a big hit. You can also use any extra wands as a center piece. I had parents tell me their little ones kept the wands for several years. You can buy all the supplies at a local craft store. I bought the curling ribbon (the large rolls) from Michaels on sale.

I was at Dollar Tree today and they have a lot of Princess party goods. Princess plates, goodie bags, pin the tiara on the princess, silverware caddy, disney princess balloons and photo holders, centerpieces, hanging things, etc. Worth checking out if you have one nearby and need party supplies.

A cute, very inexpensive idea would be to pass out roses...a-la Beauty & the Beast:)

The sparkle roll on glitter for their faces and arms. All princesses love to sparkle!princess:

Disney Outlet has these princess favor packs on clearance:

Other things you could include:
- a fancy China tea cup from an antique or thrift store-- the girls can drink from them during the party and then take them home. Mismatched cups are inexpensive. My daughter loves to drink hot cocoa or warm milk from fancy cups.
- bead necklaces and bracelets
- white gloves (Target dollar section has them)

A fun princess hat craft you can make, rather than the standard crown, would be a cone shaped hat with tulle and ribbon coming out of the top. You can make the cones ahead of time and let the girls decorate the hats will stickers, sick-on jewels, and markers. You might want to use elastic or a ribbon for under the chin to help keep the hats on. I found these instructions:
