We have a princess obsessed DD, her favorite is Cinderella and she also really likes Sleeping Beauty. We were thinking of trying for reservations for CRT and 1900 Park Fare. In your opinion should we do both princess meals? Is there anywhere else where you can have dinner with the princesses? We looked at the menu for the Norway restaurant, but found the food choices unappealing. We definatly want dinner reservations. Any advice would be really helpful.

Thanks so much,
Erin

I haven't been to 1900 or CRT. My DD loves the princesses too, and we have gone to Norway for the past few years. I think the food is great there. But, if it doesn't sound good to you, I've heard CRT has a decent dinner--and, you'll see Cinderella for sure. I don't think it would hurt to do two character meals if you want. We usually do a few, Norway, Chef Mickeys and another one. Next year we're trying CRT for breakfast. yay!:goodvibes

Honestly, if your dd is obsessed with princesses- you get more bang for your princess buck (meaning more princesses at Norway). The food is pretty bland and boring so it certainly won't overwhelm you. I have never done CRT- waiting until my dd is a little bit older. Have heard good things about character interaction at 1900

IMHO, Norway is by far the best Princess experience. It has the most princesses and you have the chance to see either Ariel or Belle in her yellow gown!

1900 and CRT both have Cinderella so she will be a duplicate and that always made my girls suspicious. At 1900 Cinderella will be the ONLY princess. The other characters are from the Cinderella movie.

So I guess between CRT and 1900 I'd go with CRT for atmosphere but she will be the only princess at dinner; breakfast and lunch has the princesses. I wouldn't do both unless she really LOVES Cinderella.

Good luck deciding.

We did both CRT and 1900 last year and loved them both.
We had about 3 days between them. At CRT you get to meet Cinderella and have your picture taken with her before you head up to the restaurant. You don't see Cinderella during your meal at all.....during the meal we had belle, the fairy godmother, snow white and Alice. At 1900, the fairy godmother is the one you see before heading into dinner. Cinderella walks around with Prince Charming......they signed my dd's autograph book Cinderella loves Prince Charming  . Suzy and Perla (mice) were also walking around.....although I think that is changing. We ended up seeing every princess during our trip....although to see Belle in her yellow dress we had to wait in line at toontown. Not one of my 3 dd's commented on cinderella being two different people. Hope this helps.

CRT dinner is not "character" dining. You will have your picture with Cinderella downstairs, but she doesn't come up to the tables. (someone correct me if this has changed) Several of the princesses are there for breakfast and lunch, but not for dinner. 1900 PF is great if you love Cinderella. We will always do this one. The step-mother and step-sisters sound like lots of fun too. Our favorite is PSB at Norway. We don't care for the dinner menu though. We only go for breakfast. We do a late breakfast and count it as lunch;) I agree with one of the previous posters...you get much more bang for your buck! I would skip CRT if you want to do a dinner---maybe you could do a late lunch :confused3

we did CRT for dinner and it was still nice even though we only saw Cindy during photos. We managed to do dinner during the Wishes Fireworks and it was amazing. Fairy Godmother and Mice all did a little dance show which was nice. It is 2TS for dining plan
1900 park fare was a nice too but now the stepmother and stepsisters are there which is suppose to be a fun experience. Use only 1 TS service.

We did the Princess Breakfast and it was fantastic.

My experience also is that there were not very many princesses at CRT. We did a late breakfast in January 07, and the only princesses were Cindy (downstairs, not at the actual breakfast), and Belle in the blue/white dress. The other characters were Fairy Godmother, Alice and I can't remember the rest. The castle is beautiful, the characters were very nice, but the breakfast was "eh", and I found the whole experience a bit lacking. We're doing Norway Storybook Lunch this year, and I hope to be more impressed. We'll see.

I think the only way to guarantee you'll see Aurora is the My Disney Princess Tea at the Grand Floridian. It's pricey, but your little one will get an Aurora doll (comparable to American Girl so worth $100 or more), a bracelet, a little crown and a lot of character time. Aurora only joins at the end, but the children get to dance around the room with her. It's adorable.

We just returned at Dined at Norway and 1900 Park Fare.

I know you said you definately wanted dinner...but...We did the Princess Storybook Breakfast at Norway and it was one of our best meals of the week. The girls got their picture taken with Belle before we were seated and Sleeping Beauty, Jasmine, Snow White and Mulan came to the table. The interaction with the princesses was amazing. They all spent alot of time talking to my girls (one was dressed at Aurora and the other Jasmine). The food was also really good also and well worth the 1 TS credit on the Dining Plan.

We also had dinner at 1900 Park Fare and Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremain, and the ugly stepsisters were there. The food at this buffet was really tasty also (the strawberry soup is yummy!) and Lady Tremain and the step-sisters were really funny and Cinderella and Prince Charming danced around the restaurant. It was also very good and we would recommend this meal.

We did CRT in 2003, and I remember the characters being good, eating in the castle was really neat, and the food was ok. I'm not sure about this part, but I'm not sure if there are princesses there for dinner or not. I know they are there for breakfast and lunch though.

Hope this helped alittle. Have fun planning and have a great trip!:goodvibes

Thanks for sharing, i almost cancel this reservation because of bad reviews posted lately...:confused3 Many have been saying the dinner buffet went down hill. glad to hear someone enjoyed it. i think i will keep this! Love to see stepsisters.

Last trip we did CRT dinner and Storybook dinner.

CRT dinner is NOT a character meal. It is a celebration meal with special appearances by Fairy Godmother and the Mice. They do not go table to table and pose and sign autographs like at a traditional character meal. Instead they do a little song and dance show. Cinderella is in the lobby for pictures. No other princesses are there at dinner. It is enjoyable, but if you are looking for a princess meal for a child, this is not a good choice. It is more designed to be a "special" meal at the castle. The fairy godmother announces birthdays, anniversaries, proposals are popular here, etc.

The Storybook dinner at Epcot is a princess meal where the princesses come table to table. It is more geared towards the princess loving child. The day we were there, Belle was the greeter, and inside were Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Jasmine, and Alice. The food was fine. We had the pesto pasta, nothing special, but not bad either. There is also a cold buffet of cheeses, breads, etc.
