First time for neice 8 and nephew 11. I want to fit in a "princess" meal. I don't have the time to fit in the "breakfast" at the castle, I don't have a morning to be able to miss EMH.

I'm not sure if they will even go again, so I'd like to do the "most special" thing, my brother says "no", but ............

My choices,

"DINNER" at the Castle (I guess I think you should eat at the castle at least "once" in a lifetime) I hear sometimes Cinderella shows up for dinner, sometimes not. I know when we went for dinner she was there, but that was MANY moons ago!!!

Princess Breakfast at Norway-I could fit this in on the morning "the boys" go to shark reef before DisneyQuest. But on the "downside" of this one, this would also be our only day to "sleep in" or do "girl shopping" etc.

Princess Buffet at Grand Floridian-this sounds really nice, but it would be at the expense of missing a meal in the castle.

We will only be there 5 days, and between the other things I need to fit in I can only do one of these at this point.

I'd say eat a dinner in the Castle. They serve great Prime Rib for your brother to munch on. :D

After you check in, you'll be ushered to the Throne (ie., waiting) Room. Usually a character can be found there so guests can get pictures and autographs. Last year when we ate dinner, Cinderella was there and it was fun to see the surprised faces of the little girls as they came in. Other people have reported seeing the Fairy Godmother there too. You won't see any characters in the dining room except at the breakfast.

I say do a late breakfast in the Castle. You'll be albe to take advantage of EE and get to have breakfast with Cinderella.

A late breakfast could work, but keep in mind that the Princesses usually leave the breakfast I believe sometime between 10:30 and 11am, so you might want to keep that in mind when making reservations.

Dinner at CRT is nice. Characters aren't guarenteed, but you might just be fortunate enough to see a character on the throne in the lobby.

1900 Park Fare's Cinderella dinner is also a good choice if seeing Cinderella is your priority. The food is pretty good too. I would probably go with that choice.

I'm also going to present all of this to them. Perhaps a good idea might be to let my niece make the choice since it's mostly for her. I'm having a hard time between "telling" them what to do and allowing them to pick and choose, even if I don't think it's the best choice from my experience. It's hard enough planning what "I" want to do on one of MY vacations without trying to figure out what's going to be the "best" and most memorable thing for them. I think I'm going to be asking allot of everyones opinions in the next few months!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :teeth:

I've already given them the Unofficial Guide from last year, and for the kids this years Birnbaum's as I think it's easier for them. I'm also going to get them the Unofficial Guide for Children by Children for Christmas. I told them they have to have an idea of what they want to do, as they can't do nearly half of everything, and in February or March we'll have a pizza "pow-pow" night. We can go over tentative rides and "final" restaurant choices, so that I can get the important reservations in. I've got my reservations done for OKW and a "basic" what park on what day plan. I "think" i'm in pretty good shape for now!!! YIKES!!!

I think the princess breakfast at epcot is a great idea. We went on thanksgiving with my daughters (mostly for my 7.5 year old). She got to see 5 princesses and open the castle. This was scheduled late in our vacation. I decided to make reservations and make a final decision together once we were in Disney and had more of an idea how tired we were, etc.

I think it would be a really special breakfast with just you and your neice. (without the guys!)

Believe it or not my DD4 was not interested in Cinderella when we went this July. We did the Princess breakfast in Norway. Aurora is her absolute favorite and she was able to meet her as well as Belle, Snow White, Jasmine, and Mulan. We had an 8:15 or 8:45 seating and were able to meet the character bus at the front of the park right after the breakfast, big perk for mom as I got to take their pictures (DS7 also-he went to breakfast just for the bacon!) with Mary Poppins and Mr.Penguin!!! It was one of the best character meeting points on the whole trip, they have each character between the leave a legacy walls so it was really easy and not so pushy.

Also getting reservation for Norway breakfast was a piece of cake, called one night within one month of trip and booked it no problem, called back later and changed to different time, no problem. Hope this helps.

Can't compare with castle as never went.
