Princess meal for boys?

While talking to my DS6 about which character meals he wants to go too he said he wanted to go to CRT?!

So what princess meal would be best for a boys 3 and 6. (my DS wants to dress up as a prince! )

I don't know what princess meal would be best, but wanted to tell you something that happened to us on a recent trip. We have 3 DS......one a teenager. We were finishing up in Fantasyland and were hungry so for the fun of it I went over to the podium at CRT and sure enough someone didn't show and we got in. My guys thought it was fun.........the princesses really fussed about them since we had a table of 3 boys. Aladdin was there too so my youngest loved that. It is true what everyone says though..........the food was not that great, but it was still cool to eat in the castle.

We took DS's at those ages to both CRT and in Norway in Epcot. They liked them both, but if I had a choice, I would chose CRT just because I can say I ate in the castle. I got goosebumps when I walked in. Also at CRT, Aladdin was there, whereas in Norway, it was just strictly princesses.

If you go to 1900 Park Faire, Prince Charming is there. Cinderella, the mice and Fairy Godmother are there also. It may be nice for the boys to see Prince Charming. The food is very good, too.

My son loved 1900 Park Fare for the Cinderella dinner because Prince Charming was there too, and because, well, he's in love with her and told her so!

He also liked chatting with the fairy godmother. She chatted with him about pirates for a good 10 minutes because we had really late ADR's and there was no one else around to talk to her (she stands out front of the restaurant greeting people).

I'd definitely suggest that one, Cinderella spends much more time chatting with the kids than at CRT.

I can only imagine what the princesses would do if a little boy walked in dressed as a prince. I'm 30 and it was very nice when the Princesses I met at meet and greets asked if they could hold me like they hold their princes. I liked it when they called me Prince.

As for choosing a meal, I would go with CRT or Akershus since they have more Princesses. 1900 Park Fare is good if you know the boy wants to see Cinderella. As for interaction, I highly recommend trying to find them in the parks. I had a lot of fun talking with Sleeping Beauty and Belle in France at EPCOT, and the Judges Tent in Toon Town. I was able to interact more with them in the parks than I was with Cinderella at 1900 Park Fare. In fact EPCOT and Toon Town were great because it was one on one for pictures and EPCOT was quiet. Nobody knew the Princesses were in France, so we got to talk with them and it wasn't the moving you through the line that can happen in Toon Town.

My DS6 actually cried when I couldn't get breakfast ADRs for CRT back in November (I never even mentioned they served lunch or dinner since nothing on the menu appealed to me or my best friend). Calling each day while we were at WDW worked--my best friend was able to get us a ressie for breakfast after trying about 4 days in a row.

We had a nice time, but my DS was dissapointed he didn't get as much attention as he thought he might get. He's got this "you're so beautiful, I would fight...(fill in the bad guy here) for you" thing he loves to tell the princesses in hopes of a kiss. Only managed one out of five possible kisses that morning.

That same day we did dinner over at 1900 and had a nice time. The mice made it around the dining room at least 4 times--to the point where it was almost too much.

DS is looking forward to going to DL next month--we've got reservations at Ariel's Grotto. Time to work that charm!!!!

I would definitley do CRT if you can. Eating in the castle is cool, at breakfast and lunch (I don't think dinner, but don't quote me) the boys get a sword, and when DD and I were there the Princesses fussed over the boys that were into it!

That is so funny to me, my DS's 4 and 6 HATE any thing to do with princess. Our first trip with the boys is in 16 days and they keep saying we better not see any princess, I keep telling them we will and my 4yo cries. It should be interesting with them. I've showed them the picture of Daddy with Cindy and they say NO WAY. This is going to be very funny. I will have to get a picture of DS crying with a princess, I know I'm mean it will be funny to him someday. Nancy
