My DH wished he that on VHS when he was going thru puberty . When I was smaller...pre-kids...he wanted me to get a replica of that outfit 'just for kicks'. Um...no, not even when I was skinny...

Oh, I think that any male (or interested woman) can appreciate Carrie Fisher in that outfit even decades later. I don't think you had to be seeing the movie THEN.



But yeah, real appreciation for how great she looks is ruined by the cruddy time she had filming those movies, and how nasty Lucas got about her weight.

No debate here. But Princess Leia leaves more to the imagination and sometimes that is more enticing.

Truthfully, I don't think it adds anything to the movie. It's a great piece of pop culture and it made Jabba all the more icky, but Leia in that outfit is definitely not what made me love the movie.
