Princess Katyana's Wish Trip! Pre-Trip Report

Gorgeous! And I love that wall!! You have inspired me to get busy! Our trip dates are April 1-7th. MAW wanted to grant Katie's wish sooner but her doctor and I agreed to wait. Katie just had hip surgery and she has just started PT with a new therapist. We are hoping that she will be stronger so that I can take her out of her chair for some rides. She is 13 and 100lbs so moving her is difficult. She can stand and walk some but is extremely wobbly. Anyway, hoping that she will improve some by April. Plus I am a compulsive planner most of the time. With our crew of 7 kids, I am stressing just a tad.:headache:

Thanks for checking out Tyana's ptr! You really do have to start planning early. You're getting close to your 180-day mark to schedule your ADR's! I hope your 19 year old will get to join the rest of the family. I've seen many people bring their adult sibling, just not sure if MAW provided flights and tickets. Have you checked with your coordinator or wish granter about that yet?
I'm posting a few pictures tonight. It's been a while. I'll post pics of our countdown area, and some of the little crafts we've been keeping busy with.

I am sending the wish coordinator an email tonight. She wanted us to submit a letter stating why Katie wanted her adult sibling to go on her wish and how significant Sierra was to Katie. My husband is in the process of converting a school bus into a RV. It will be equipped with a hospital bed and all of Katie's medical supplies. Therefore, we will be driving.

That is very cool, converting the bus for her medical needs for travel! Wow! Will your family be staying at Give Kids the World? Just wondering if they would have the space to accommodate the bus? If not, would you guys consider staying on property at the Wilderness Lodge? That would be pretty neat.

Yes! We will stay at GKTW. They have a place to park the bus while we are there. We may extend our trip a few days and stay at Fort Wilderness.
