Princess half marathon transportation question

Just wondering - I registered for the Princess Half Marathon with a bunch of my friends and we would like to stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge DVC. The Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of the hotels listed as providing transaportation to the race - would we be able to take the transportation to the race even though we are not staying at the 'hotel' portion of the Animal Kingdom, we are staying in the DVC section? It would be so much simpler to use my DVC!

If the AK is one of the resorts on the list then anyone staying there can use the race transportation. They will not look for an ID or anything like that when you get on the bus.

Thanks! I called and asked twice & got different answers and since this is our first time and we have one handicapped member, I want all my ducks in a row! It would make sense to allow us to use the transportation but I wasn't sure if you needed some sort of a voucher in order to use it - thanks again!

In my experience, it's just a matter of hopping on the appropriate bus - nobody has ever asked for anything.

If you are staying at Kidani Village, it is a hike over to Jambo house - I assume they may only be sending the bus to Jambo.

This is probably a good assumption. Usually they don't send the expo or marathon bus through to all the bus stops. They usually just have one marked stop at the main bus stop at the mods and deluxe resorts.

You can always book your DVC room at AKV at Jambo and not have to worry about figuring out how to get back and forth from Kidani -- I just booked my DVC at AKV Jambo for a studio. Just ask MS when you make the reservation.

I got a 2BR Value today. I was excited to save the points. I thought availability would be tough but they had 2BRs in Std. and SV also. I also asked about studios and they had studios at Kidani. Not sure about Jambo. I just asked about 3nights: arriving Friday and leaving Monday.
