Does Disney offer any sort of event/package for family members there to cheer?

Yes. Disney offers what they call the ChEAR package which Disney offers to those who are spectating runners. There are two different levels offered at Princess. The prices for this year's package aren't out yet but over at therunDisney Events and Registration FAQ you'll be able to find what has been provided in the past.

Edit: I forgot to mention that there is a viewing area for those who don't pay for ChEAR as well and that there are certainly some folks on the boards who can give you tips on both methods.
