We did princess Faire this past trip. I was expecting the hair and Makeup to be something like BBB in WDW, but it was more of a couple of booths, one to do face painting and one to do hair. The cost to do both is about the same as getting the basic package at BBB in WDW ($37). $18 + for Hair and $12+ for face painting.

The CM were trying to juggle kids, Makeup, combs and hair things with just 2 small booths and a bunch of stools. They said they had requested barber chairs and they just got more stools.

Since I haven't had much experience and thinking about it later, I noticed they used the same comb across several kids. Wondering if that could be an issue with Lice, if a Child came in with Lice. Only reason I really thought that is with BBB, they gave you the comb after the service.

My DD(4) still loved it. My suggestion is that you get their early and bypass the long line for meeting the princesses and then get inline for the hair & face painting. They you can go down and watch the little show. If you want just the face painting, sometime the booth across from the storybook boats are much shorter.

It doesn't sound very well thought out does it? And the comb thing is a big no no with most Health Departments. My daugther did BBB at WDW and they do indeed give you the comb, makeup, lip gloss, nails, etc. to take with you.

Ok thats just make sense. Its a fun keepsake for little girls.

Thats so sick that they used the same comb. I would have city hall aware of this. If more people knew about that and cared, PFF wouldnt last long.

Yes... I didn't even think about it when she was there and then after our trip, I was running through both experiences in my mind and realized that they had used a common comb at PFF (I also don't remember seeing a sterile jar that you use to see at barber shops). Yikes, I feel like a terrible parent now. I will send an email to DL, and see how they respond.

they charge you to do your hair and face painting? wow.. i wanted to do this, but i might take a look at what they're doing and if i don't like it i'll just head over to libby lu. i know what they do and i like it.

They use the same comb? That's gross!! I would have thought they'd be smarter than that! And letting them keep the comb as a souvenior is an excellent way to advertise. Why didn't they think of that? Disney is usually much more savvy about advertising.
