Princess Elena of Avalor?

I told my DD5 that she probably won't be available to meet but that we should see her on the castle stage - she was initially disappointed but then chirped right up because she was just excited to see her at all! Looking forward to figuring out a more concrete schedule for the remainder of the month.

For Elena's Royal Welcome livestreamed on August 11th, all the Princesses should be in attendance on the Castle Stage. All were there for Merida and for Tiana when they were introduced and welcomed.

Beginning the 12th, it appears Elena will be welcomed by Cinderella and Prince Charming prior to Mickey's Royal Friendship Faire.

Let's rush her out for a show but not let kids meet her. Thanks, Disney. Just like they did with Zootopia.

Does this mean that Elena is going to be considered an "official" Disney Princess?

Mickey's Royal Friendship Faire will not be performed on Thursday 8/11 at 10:30am or 11:30am. The first performance of the day will be at 12 noon. I'm sure they will have multiple cameras covering the live stream
The MRFF goes back to the regular schedule on Friday 10:30am, 11:30am, 1pm, 2pm, 4:15pm, 5:15pm

From what I can tell, this is simply a welcome rather than a coronation. Elena being a from a show rather than a movie doesn't fit the mold that the rest of the princesses are a part of (Even Tinkerbell had movies when she was a princess before becoming the Disney Fairies line)

Thanks, yulilin, for the scheduling info!! Have you been able to confirm that all Princesses will be onstage? With them downing 2 Friendship Faires, at least it's a sign Princesses in the show will be involved in the Welcome.

No word on the ceremony itself. The only thing is
"Magic Kingdom Park is proud to welcome Elena, crown princess of Avalor, during a media event on August 11. "

The wording is unclear. In the show she has already been crowned and everywhere she is regarded as the first Disney Princess with Latin heritage. I haven't really followed every coronation ceremony but if she is not crowned at the parks with a ceremony she is not considered a Disney Princess?

@rteetz, from the Rumors and News Board, has also been checking on the Royal Welcome and the info coming in is stating that the event will be more than a Welcome but possibly not a full coronation. I'm sure he'll keep us updated and we probably won't know what's happening until the Livestream.

Not every Disney princess has been crowned at a Disney park. Rapunzel for example had her coronation in London at a special ceremony.

Thanks, the wording seemed unclear.

It is very unclear, and I am just speculating on it all based on what I've researched. I could very easily be completely wrong on everything sadly

The past few coronations have had a few different formats.
Tiana was welcomed in the parks by the other princesses when her movie came out, but then had an official coronation in New York the following year.
Rapunzel, as far as I can find, only had a coronation in London
Merida had a coronation in Magic Kingdom

The coronations themselves were put on by Disney Consumer Products since they control the actual Disney Princess line. I haven't seen any word that this event is put on by DCP, so that's what makes me believe this isn't an official coronation

When the Princesses welcomed Merida, the official onstage banner read: Merida's Royal Celebration.

So, that info isn't very helpful except "coronation" wasn't in the official wording. :)

not sure if you have a Disney Store near you but her merchandise is already out. And I've seen lots of kids wearing her dress

Thank you!!!!!

When I checked the Disney website If found a different version of the dress. Does anyone have a photo of the official Disney Park dress, is the above it?

Elena's apperance in MK will be starting with a stage show, where Cinderella & Charming are inviting her/welcoming her to the kingdom. I know this starts Aug 11, as for meet & greets, she is going into the gazebo where Tiana was but I'm not sure when
