Princess Dresses Online vs. In Park

They are nicer in the park, but I'm not sure it's worth double the price in the parks.

I agree not worth the double price and to be honest the quality isn't any better in my opinion. Disney stores a little better than Walmart though, I try to search for costume vice dress up :)

I don't know how handy you are with a needle and thread, but buying a party dress or even a flower girl dress on clearance and making a few simple tweeks in trim can get you a fantastic looking Princess costume that wears well! I used to re-imagine purchased clothing for DD and DS growing up (Aladdin, Esmerelda, Cinderella) and each one still hangs in the closet--maybe for the next generation:rotfl:

Disney store are excellent quality saving 20-30 per dress over the parks. For the extra 10-15 they blow walmart out of the water. There is a 25 % off that ends t ok night disneystore.com.

Heck if $$$ is tight check ebay craigslist. Make sure tag is disney park or disney store. Not just disney.

They are not the same dresses. On our trip this past August, my DD wore a DS.com Sleeping Beauty dress, it was a sleeveless style and very light. The one in the Parks was velveteen and long sleeved. We overheard many people at WOD BBB asking if they had our dress there. I quite liked that ours stood out from the ones available in the Parks. And I had gotten it on sale too, Bonus!!!

We got our dd's Belle dress at the DIsney store and the quality was better than at Target. I thought the Disney store dress was on par with the dresses in the parks.

Whatever dresses the little girls wear, they look beautiful.

Well these are the same dresses/costumes sold in the parks but for much less, if she doesn't seem to have what you're looking for you could contact her, if she has what you need she'll post it *you'll want to get it *buy it now* b4 anyone else does. I've done that a couple times.
I've also completed transactions without ebay dealing as the "middle man" with her - pay via paypal and she ships to me; most recently last year.

I had great luck at the disney outlet just after Halloween. all the dresses were 40% off. My DD won't care that it isn't exactly like the ones at the park and I saved a bundle too.

We bought the Rapunzel dress at Halloween from the Disney Store online and it was absolutely beautiful and well-made. It was so much prettier than the ones they sell at Wal Mart or Target. If it was different that the ones in the park I couldn't tell.

I bought from her last year and it was a great experience. The dresses were exactly the same as what they had in the park, same quality etc. She didn't have one of the dresses I wanted listed so I emailed her and she had it and listed it for me.

The dresses at the Disney Store are not the same as the park. the ones from the park are so much better than the ones they sell at the Disney Store. They are made better and hold up better than the ones from Disney Store. I bought ones from the Disney store for my daughters to play dress up in and the Cinderella one ripped on the torso in the front with in a week of having it. The Snow White one I bought my daughter in Disney is still going strong. No rips and she wears it every day, all day and even to bed. The ones from Disney Store do not hold up like that. I have 3 from the store which all have rips on it and 3 from the parks and the ones from the parks are still in perfect condition and will be able to be worn by my youngest when she is old enough.

I say paying the extra money at the parks is a great idea. We went in November of 2011 and my daughter picked Cinderella. The dress is still in perfect condition and she was able to wear is for Halloween in 2012 and my youngest will be able to wear it when she is old enough to fit it. I can't say the same for the Cinderella that I bought at the Disney Store. That is now just for play dress up at home.

I also think it is a little more special for them if you are doing BBB to pick out their dress their. But that is just me.

The quality is the same. Now the ones in the parks are a bit more fancier and have more styles too. Its not worth the cost to spend extra unless you want a certain style.

My girls have dresses from the DS and from the parks. You wouldn't be able to tell which ones came from where. We have Belle the yellow gown but at the parks my DSis got Belle's red gown like her christmas one. It had long sleeves and the velvet top.

We have both and the styles may be different but I see no difference in quality. We have a bunch in our dress up bin and they all tear after a while.

I've gotten both. The cinderella one from the park was nice and nicer than the DS cinderella one at the time. The park ones tend to be a bit better quality and better material. DS ones are definitely better than the ones at walmart/target even if they have the Disney name.

Our second dress was Rapunzel's wedding dress from the DS. I got it because it was diff. we did see a couple other girls with it, but not as many as the reg rapunzel dress. This dress was GORGEOUS!!!! It was a special edition one tho.

The Park dresses are only $15-20 more. They aren't double the cost. the last park dress we got Sleeping Beauty was $69 and the rapunzel was about $50.

I ordered the Cinderella dress from the woman in your link for $32.99. My sister in law is at BBB today and the exact same dress is $64.95. She posted a pic on facebook and I was shocked at the price difference. Thank you so much for sharing that link!!!

The reason is she is a CM who is buying the costumes from the back lot trailer and reselling them on ebay. It is actually against Disney policy for her to do this and if she was caught she could loose her job. I have those same costumes cause my sister was a CM and would buy them for my girls. She would pay less than $20 for them. That is how my girls got the majority of their costumes. Now we have to buy through Disney :(

I just saw a bunch of princess dresses at our local party city that were 19.99 each. They had : belle, Ariel, Snow White, Cinderella, and Rapunzel.

They were stretchy kinda like dance wear. Perfect for the parks. One size only 4-6 .

They were super cute.. I wish I could figure out how to post the photo.
