My DD6 has two dresses that she wants to wear when we go in Sept.I was thinking she could wear her Cinderella dress to Park Fare and her Snow White to CRT.Lately I have read that there are not alot of little girls wearing the dresses.I guess what I am asking is if anyone has seen any princesses dining lately and if she will look out of place.

My girls always want to wear their princess dresses - they don't care who is or is not wearing them! I think anywhere at WDW is the perfect place for a princess dress. Your daughter will not feel out of place. The only problem can be the heat. They get itchy & scratchy if they wear them for too long. Bring extra clothes with!

Have fun!! princess:

Both of my girls have dresses to wear.We will be going straight back to the hotel after Park Fare but I will definitely take other clothes for after CRT.

My niece wore her Jasmine costume to the Princess breakfast in Norway and her Cinderella costume to Park Fare and it was wonderful! Cinderella really payed her alot of attention and Jasmine was great about the costume too! I remember seeing other little girls in costumes too, but even if we didn't my niece wouldn't have cared!

My sister brought along a tank top and shorts for her to change in to afterwards though. It can be a pain wearing the costume all day and they do tend to get itchy!

I am fortunate enough to have a maternal relationship with someone who is 'close personal friends' with several Princesses. (Hopefully you understand what I mean). The Princesses LOVE to see mini-Princesses and they enjoy making a special fuss over them. We just returned from WDW last week and even with the oppressive heat and humidity, we saw many little girls wearing Princess dresses. Definitely let your daughter wear her gowns!

We always see kids dressed up in "princess" outfits at WDW restaurants. Most definitely DD shoud wear hers!!

I have seen lots of Princesses (and Pirates) in the restaurants. I love seeing them. It always makes me so happy :goodvibes I also see alot of kids dressed up in the Parks too - they love to dress up & be a Part of the Magic. Go for it! Alot of us Big Kids will enjoy seeing the kids having fun too.

Dd wore her princess dress to CRT in Dec and the princesses did make a little extra special fuss! It made for some really cute pictures too. We changed Dd right after Breakfast though and since we had her stroller we just put her dress in the basket. Dd wants to wear her dress again on our trip in Sept too. So I say go for it!

My girls wore their princess dresses to CRT, 1900 Park Fare and Princess Storybook Lunch in Norway. They wore their Alice in Wonderland dresses to Wonderland Tea Party. DDs wore their Minnie dresses to Chef Mickeys and ds wore his Mickey costume there. They love to wear them and always get a lot of special attention from the characters. We now have so many that I ship them to the resort before we get there. Definitely wear them - they certainly won't be out of place. BTW we went in July and there were still lots of little princesses. We just changed them into regular short outfits after the meal.

There were definitely lots of girls in princess dresses when we went, and lots of moms wishing they had thought of it! DD wore her Cinderella dress to two different meals and had a blast!

I love to see the little princesses around the restraunts and parks. They are all so adorable. princess:

We buy DD a new princess outfit every Disney trip! Needless to say, she has a closet full. We bought Jasmine in June but DD found it too hot and itchy to wear for more than like 5 minutes. In cooler months when we can get away with a leotard and tights underneath so she will not "itch" she lives in her costume. She just can't stand the heat in one. :sunny:

Well, I know it isn't a princess dress............ but I just got my DS a Hook costume........... he insist on wearing it when we go!!! He loves Pirates of the Caribean, and last year he did the pirate cruise from the GF. pirate:
We are going to CRT for dinner, so I guess he can wear it then??

I've seen the little girls in thier dresses, and they are darling, I'd say let her wear it!!! My sister is also coming on this trip and has 4 girls.......... they all plan on wearing thier dresses!!! princess:

How old are your princesses? Mine is 7. Is that too old? Will she look silly or will it be appropriate?

for some reason my girls refuse to wear them ( ages 26 and 28 yrs:))

but i think the restaurant idea is perfect and will avoid the scene i saw last time we were there when a mom wanted her 5-6 yr old to wear the costume at epcot even though the kid didn't want to since she said it itched( "we spent all this money on this" swat swat as she yanked it off the girl...not worth it imo to make those kind of "magical memories")

My princess is 6 and she wore her Cinderella dress to CRT for dinner. She was the only little girl there in a princess dress, but she didnt care.

My two girls are 10 and 12 and they STILL will get dressed for Disney. We are going for MNSSHP and both will be dressed, one in princess and one in whatever we find at the Disney store. Heck, I even dress up for the party!! You are never too old for anything in Disney.

My DD (3.5) wore her Sleeping Beauty dress to breakfast at CRT in July. There were only two other little girls there with princess costumes on. The princesses (especially Aurora) spent alot of time talking with my daughter. Right after breakfast, she changed into shorts and a top for the rest of the day, and the other mother with princesses was right there with me changing her daughters, also. I would also recommend letting your daughter wear her costume, but PLEASE, buy her comfortable shoes. We bought some flat ballet slippers at Target that were pink and matched the dress.

I did not see many children in the parks wearing costumes unless they were right there near the CRT. It was awfully hot those days, so hopefully, everyone was changing their kids.

Sheesh Jann ~ you'd think your girls would be more cooperative!!!! LOL that made me laugh!!!

To the OP, let your little one have a ball......... and wear her dress, and be "THE" princess, it's a memory she'll treasure for a lifetime!!

As for the 7 year old........... YES, YES, YES, she is a princess too after all!!!!
