Do little girls wear their princess dresses at these meals? My DDs love to dress up but it seems like it might be easier just to leave their costumes at home. But then I wonder if they would wish they had them if lots of little girls wear them. What do your princesses do? Thanks princess: princess: princess:

yes, i have seen the little girls in the princess attire. usually w/shorts underneath for a quick change! enjoy! :earboy2:

We just bought DD4 the cinderella costume and bought DD1 the minnie mouse..(got a great deal on EBAY)...We are also having DD4's Princess Party when we get back from WDW so we will get double the wear out of it!!!

I would say take it or you will be buying another one once she sees how many kids there are dressed up...HAVE FUN!!!

I would say DEFINITELY let her wear a costume.

In Oct 03, we had PS for CRT. DD wanted to wear a Belle costume, which she didn't have. I told her that we would buy the costume at WOrld of Disney when we got to WDW. Well, once we got there and realized for the dress and the accessories was going to be $100+ we talked her out of it. I felt sooo... bad, when we got to CRT alot of the little girls were wearing Princess costumes and 1 little girl was wearing the same Belle dress that she had wanted. Poor thing, she just stood there and stared at that little girls dress. She still had a good time but I could tell she was dissappointed.

When we went back in Oct. 04, we ate at PSB, this time she wore a Jasmine costume and SHE was much happier. Also, as we walked around EPCOT she got alot of attention from the CM's calling her "princess" etc. When we took the little boat through the Mexico exhibit, a CM said, "Princess, we have a special entrance for you and took her through a different way to the boats. She felt really special.

We took extra clothes for her to change into and I think we rented a locker or put it in our backpack, I can't remember.

Oh, that is so sweet!!! :goodvibes

My wife makes outfits for weddings, renfests and all of our girls' costumes. Thank god. Don't have to spend that much money at the park buying costumes :)

Last year, she did Belle's ball gown dress from a modified flower girl dress pattern, so it didn't look like the store bought ones. This year, she's making couple cinderella dresses for our girls (6 and 2) for the upcoming Halloween and a national costume contest. We'll be using those in DWD in Nov/Dec too :) Kill 3 birds with one stone!

I probably wouldn't have let Reya wear one if you hadn't. Now to find princess dresses in size 7!

Thanks
Amanda

Also, remember this. It might cost a little more to have to go buy that dress. It might be a pain to have to change afterwards and rent a locker or carry it around but just keep in mind there is going to come a day when your little princess is going to say "I'm not going to wear that costume, it's for babies" :sad1: I hate that I didn't have the dress the first time and to make matters worse - our cameras fogged over and none of the pics or video turned out.

I am so glad I asked this question. I was thinking to myself before just keep the costumes home no big deal. I am always looking for ways to make travel easier with little ones and all the gear. But after watching my three year old yesterday walking around in her Cinderella costume I thought I'd better ask. I am glad I did. I am stuffing those costumes in my back pack now!!!!! Thank you. princess: princess: princess:

ABSOLUTELY! I think every little girl feels like a Princess in Disney World and with the right attire it makes it all that more special. My two girls bring all their "princess" style outfits to Disney and so do lots of little girls as well. Let's face it, Disney is really the only place that you can get away with dressing like that! My girls also brough hula outfits along for the Polynesian Luau at the Polynesian Resort. Have a great time!

Actually, you can dress your little girls up like that at ren fests too. My wife did that with our girls and they get royal treatment! :)

We found that almost all the little girls at out breakfast at CRT in Dec were wearing their costumes including our little princess. We dressed her before we left the hotel and changed her after breakfast. We just stuffed her dress in the basket under the stroller. I would take them because they will get alot more attention that way. My DD got gobs of attention from Snow White because she was dressed like her. HTH princess: princess:

I brought 4 princess dresses on our recent trip. DD (4) wore her Cinderella costume to dinner at 1900 Park Fare and she complained the whole time about how much it itched her skin. She really had wanted to wear her Ariel on the day we saw her at MK, but since I didn't have her slip, she didn't wear it or any of them the rest of the trip. At least she wore one!

We don't go until June but the princess dresses are already packed :) DD4 will be Snow White and DD7 will be wearing a mermaid outfit. She's going to be so excited if Ariel is at our dinner.

princess: princess: My daughter (4) wore her Snow White Costume to the Princess Breakfast at Epcot. She was very excited to meet Snow White. All of the princesses made a fuss over her dress. One made the comment that Snow White couldn't make the breakfast today. Jasmine was the last princess she saw and she could tell my daughter was a little sad. She left for a minute and came back. She told us that Snow White would be waiting to meet her in Germany at 11:00. When we got there a CM took us to meet Snow White. My daughter was thrilled! She had one on one time with her and she even gave her a special wand and said she was sorry she missed us at breakfast. I think the dress had something to do with getting a little extra attention. Plus it is so worth the pictures. After she met Snow White, she changed into shorts for the rest of the day. And I put the dress in my backpack. It was so worth bringing!! :goodvibes

Definately put them over their clothes and then you can put them in a locker when it's time for rides. My DD wore her Jasmin costume to Boma she was so excited.

I have bought 3 dresses also, and my daughter complains of the itchiness and scratchiness also! She actually had scratches on her arm from the inner material from 1 in particular! I am thinking of buying her a slip, otherwise she won't wear them!

My daughter will wear a dress each day, the WHOLE day we are in the parks. The first day she has planned on wearing Sleeping Beauty, the next Pocahantas & the last Cinderella. Thankfully none of these bother her. She is 6 1/2.
