We will be dining with Cinderella in June! (My kids' first trip ever to WDW!) My daughter is 5 and already wondering what she'll wear to meet Cinderella! Do most little girls wear princess dresses? We'll be in the park all morning and eat lunch at 12:05, so I want her to be comfortable. We were thinking about getting her a cute sundress outfit or something, but I'll be glad to rent a locker and put one of her princess dresses in it to change into. Just curious!! (It will ultimately be her choice, anyway!)

When you go you'll see both. Lots of little girls in their princess dresses and just as many in their shorts and Ts. So, do what your little princess wants!

I personally would not put a child in those darling little plastic shoes that match the dresses tho. Those things are a safety hazard in the parks! Wearing the dress over shorts and then stashing it in either a locker or your bag is a good idea.

Have fun!

We took our daughters to Cindy's Breakfast (DD8 & DD4) and didn't pack their princess dresses. We slightly regretted it. Our kids didn't complain but they did make some comments: "See Daddy, that girl's wearing her princess dress". Did it ruin our character breakfast? Nope. Would it have made it better? Maybe. Did the kids have a blast? You bet! :surfweb:

Definitely do the dress! Your DD will be happy, and it's such a cute picture when you can get them with the "same" princess whose dress they're wearing. We've done this many times, and I totally agree about not letting her wear the plastic princess shoes unless you want to have lots of blisters. We just always told DD she could wear her dress as long as she wore her tennis shoes with them, and that was that. If you've got a stroller, just put the dress in the basket if possible or put it in a locker, and then change her in the bathroom. We've had times that DD wanted to change back into regular clothes, and other times that she wanted to wear her costume the rest of the day. I've got great pictures of "Jasmine" in Morocco after PSB!
