Thank God I discovered this site!!!

In about 1 hour of bopping thru this site I have discovered a ton of things that in my 10+ times at Disney (probably the last of which was almost 10 years ago) I thought I knew.

I have spent about 6 hours in total on the official Disney site and never did I find any info on the Princess Breakfast or Dress Up at Downtown Disney. Obviously it appears very wise to have such events planned out and reserved in advance so thank goodness I have discovered them now and not when we happen upon them (or miss them entirely) in our travels.

My question: Looking for any info on Princess related activities - including experiences and comments re Princess Breakfast and the Dress Up at Downtown Disney. If you attend the Princess Breakfast (which appears to be located in Epcot) I assume you must pay admission. What about for Downtown DIsney - as I recall this one is "free" although good luck getting out without spending a fortune! Again, looking for enlightenment here.

In addition to the Princess events (which will be a thrill for my 4 yr old daughter and her 2 friends travelling with us) any other fun ideas for added experiences like this we could add on to our trip.

Back 29 yrs ago (I was 4) on my first Disney trip we stayed at Polyensian Village and did the Lual Dinner there which was great. Has anyone done this recently - do they perhaps have even better dinner events now, particularly ones the young ones might enjoy?

Any suggestions or comments regarding the "extra special" things to do for the young ones very much appreicated!!! Thanks in advance.

I don't have any personal experience since we're going for the first time next year, but we plan to go to Storytime with Belle at MK. It takes place several times each day in the Rose Garden near the castle and last about 20 minutes. It's supposed to be nice and they take some volunteers from the audience.

We were there in June with my two princesses, ages 4 and 6.
We went to breakfast with the princesses at Akershus in Epcot - we saw Belle, Mulan, Snow White, Jasmine and Aurora. It was great - you need advance reservations for that. It fills up fast.
We went to breakfast at the Grand Floridian - 1900 Park Faire - we saw Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, Tigger, Pooh and Mad Hatter. It was also wonderful. You also need advance reservations for this one.
The Cinderellabration show at Magic Kingdom was beautiful and all of the princesses were there. It is held many times every day at Cinderella's castle.
The daytime parade at Magic Kingdom is a lot of fun, as is the parade at MGM studios. Lots of princesses and other characters.
We saw Ariel in Ariel's grotto in the Magic Kingdom. The girls loved that. We waited in line for a while, but it was worth it.

I've got lots of other tips and fun things that we did with our princesses. Feel free to pm me if you'd like and ask any other questions.

There's also a Perfectly Princess Tea with Aurora -- I'm taking my daughter in December. It's costly ($225) but from all reports, worth it, and a really special treat. You can also do a search on the threads to see pictures and reactions. It's odd because it's not listed in the Unofficial Guide.

We just returned last night. We did the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. Be prepared for $$$! I wouldn't change a thing, but with Cinderella's Wedding dress, shoes, accessories it was $225. THe good thing is that you can use your Disney Visa and get 10% off.

We had dinner with the princesses in Norway (Epcot). We saw Jasmine, Ariel, Cinderella, Belle, Snow White. The food was excellent also!

We ate at Cinderella's Royal Table and our Princesses loved it! (18mths and 5). Cinderella was downstairs for photos and the Fairy Godmother, Belle, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty were there. They give wands to girls to use in the wishing ceremony.

I took my DD to 1900 Park Fare for Cinderella dinner - that was nice and less than the one in the castle.

We also went to the Princess Meals at Epcot. There are 5-8 princess roaming around. That was nice too.

We noticed Jasmine hangs out in the World Showcase by Moracco and again in MK by the carpet ride (opposite the exit) around 2-4pm daily.

There is also a Wonderland Tea Party at the GF. That was fun. They had tea with Alice.

We also ate in the castle at the Cindy meal.

Our favs were 1900 & Princess Storybook.

Have fun!

Any input of how the princess interaction is at the meals.

Has anyone done the Princess room at Toontown ? Who is usually there ?

Interaction at the meals depends on how busy the restaurant is. At Akershus in Norway the princesses will usually spend about a minute per table with 53 tables seated. If the restaurant is quiet, you may luck out and get more time.
At the castle your time with Cindy is very rushed as she has to greet all the Guests and take professional pics before anyone can be seated upstairs. Then the princesses in the dining room will spend about 45 seconds per table with about 49 tables sat (and the castle is almost always full). Trust me, it's not because the characters don't want to spend time with your children, they just have to keep on schedule.
1900 Park Fair is a little more laid back. You normally get much more interaction there. Again, it all depends on how crowded the seating is that you are at.
If your child is talkative, dresses up, you don't take 500 pictures, etc then your chances of having more time with the princesses are a bit better.
No character is ever guarenteed at any meal so I would not tell my child a certain princess will be there. You never know what will happen that day. But have a great time. Think of some fun questions to ask the princesses. Cinderella is a dear friend of mine and tells me she loves when little boys and girls as about Jaq and Gus or Prince Charming or where her glass slippers are. ;) Have a wonderful time to anyone doing a princess meal soon!

The princess tea party is well worth the money. My DW ::MinnieMo took our DD princess: on our 2005 trip just before she turned four and they both LOVED  it.
With all the extras that are given to the girls and special treats too it makes for a wonderful mother daughter Disney World experience.
It was so special that each time my wife looks at the pictures from that day she still gets tears in her eyes. (Okay, I do too).

Did the dinner at 1900 Park Fare on Monday night and my dd just loved it. It wasnt very crowded so everyone got extra attention from Cindy, Fairygodmother and 2 of the mice. They came around more than twice to our table and my dd sat outside chatting with the FG for a solid 5 minutes. The food was the best of our whole stay and the hotel is just beautiful. I took so many lovely pictures of my dd in her Cinderella dress both at the meal and around the hotel. I would do it again in a heartbeat!!

You have many Princess dining options:

Breakfast, lunch or dinner in Epcot at Restaurant Akershus. Also at Cinderella's Royal Table in Magic Kingdom.

Storytime with Belle is great. You can visit with Princesses at Mickey's Toontown Fair in the Judges tent.

My cousin went to the Bibbity Boppity Boutique (dress-up) at DTD and loved it.

I think there is a Princess cruise going on sometime soon, but not sure re: the dates.
I thought the princess interaction in Toontown was great. A bit slow, but worth it.

You also asked about other dinner shows. There are currently three. Disney's Spirit of Aloha show, which is at the Polynesian. This is not the same show from many years ago that you might remember. We were just there a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it. The meal was wonderful.

There's also Hoop Dee Doo Review at Fort Wilderness. This is a corny, but very fun show. This is a usual "must see" for us, but we decided to take a break and do the luau instead this year. If you've never done Hoop Dee Doo, you should give it a try.

The third is Mickey's Backyard Barbeque. I've never done this one, so I can't tell you anything about it.

These shows are popular and book up fast. They've just revised the ticket policy, also. There are now several different price ranges, which correspond to the location of your table.

Toontown has a special Princess room for meet-and-greets. I believe that Cinderella, Snow White and Aurora are pretty common, but princesses can varry. Lines can get really long and slow here, so it's good to get there early. It usually opens at 10am.

For more Princess meet-and-greets, World Showcase is the way to go. Lines tend to be much shorter here since sometimes they hide in the backs of pavillions. On my last trip, I spotted Mulan in China, Snow White in Germany, Jasmine in Morocco, and Belle, Aurora and even Cinderella (not sure how often she is there since this was the first time I saw here there in many years) in France. I've also seen Mary Poppins and Alice in the UK too.

So far we have all of the princess dining booked. All 3 of them. We hope to make it too Toontown as well.
