I was at Toys R Us today and they had some new style dresses for Cinderella, Snow White and Aurora called "Glitter Princess" that match the similarly named barbie-style princess dolls. They were $24 plus change. Pretty cute, especially if you get the matching doll. We have SW and Cindy dresses and I'm holding out for Ariel.

Keep checking eBay. I got the WDW versions of the Belle dress, crown, shoes and gloves for the great price of $20.49 plus shipping. Not new condition, but pretty good. I've seen some good deals on the WDW Jasmine outfit, but can't figure out what size my DD would wear.

Thanks for all the great feedback. I have been waivering about getting the Jasmine costume. Jasmine is her favorite princess but she thinks that pants are for boys. We are in a "I only wear skirts" phase - but I would guess she would make an exception for the Jasmine costume. I have been checking TJ Maxx and haven't seen anything. I will definitely check out the sandals at Walmart. I am so excited to go! Thanks again

I got the TJ Maxx Jasmine dress for my 4.5 year old. It was about $17. (They also had the red Belle dress.) It is dark purple, and a full dress - no cut out flesh on the tummy.

Not sure if we'll pack this one or not - we also have Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Tinkerbell, and Snow White. I'd have to pack an extra suitcase just for dress up!

BTW, does anyone make princess dresses in size 12-18 month or 18-24 month? My younger dd will be 17.5 months when we go in January, and I'd love to dress her up too!

I don't like the Jasmine belly showing dresses so much after I saw this poor little girl with a burned tummy in a Jasmine dress-the parents hadn't thought to put sunscreen on her tummy when they switched her into the dress.

Easy mistake to make, but it left a bad feeling about the jasmine costume with the open tummy..

Funny Ooops from Disneyshopping.com....Ordered CUTE costumes last year for each of my boys to be Peter Pan and Cap'n Hook (to go along with our baby Stinkerbelle...cuteness) and the company sent my Peter Pan son an ARIEL costume instead, obviously an error...But before I sent it back, I was curious and checked it out. It is the cutest thing I've ever seen! Tried to get DS5 to be ARIEL but that didnt work too well..:"MOOOOMMM!!!" So, When my Princess is a little older I'm definately going to get the ARIEL costume! I found a BELLE gown (the regular yellow one) and a MINNIE gown (same as the princess gowns and just as frilly but it's the red and white polka dots with a liitle Minnie doo-dad on the front like a plastic brooche) at a YARD SALE for $5.00 a piece! I swooped those up for dress up later!
The little hard plastic one size fits all shoes are terrible to walk around in!!! Maybe gelly-shoes would be a cute and comfortable alternative to "glass slippers"!

Our Disney Store had the Cinderella dresses on sale too. I wanted to bring dd to make sure she liked it but when I returned they were all sold out. Bummer!

I'm planning to check out the Disney Store at the end of July (when their costumes come out). Dd will wear hers for dinner with Cindy, Halloween party, and then again for Halloween on the 31st at home. So I should make good use out of it!

We bought our children;'s costume at Disney Shopping online. They were MUCH nicer than the ones in the parks and we got TONS of comments on them. One of my daughter's was Jasmine and her costume looked almost exactly like the Character at Disney. It made the ones that the Magic Kingdom stores look like a Wal-mart special. Actually the girls have it in the dress-up box and it is used almost daily by them and the daycare children. It still looks very nice. The shoes that I bought with it were made of something like gold sequined lame' and were like Jasmines but were mules instead of enclosed. The bottoms were not plastic. They were a very stiff leather and rubber. I bout them at th Disney store online also. If I could figure out how to post a picture I would so that you could see her in the costume. I also thought the Disney Store Online Costume was much nicer that the ones at the Magic Kingdom. (My other daughter was Tink) The shoes were like ballet slippers and the wings were huge. She must've been one cute Tink because people were taking pictures of her. LOL!! She was "spreading the Magic" (her exact words) throughout Fantasy Land which involved her spinning and fluttering her wings and sprinkling pretend fairy dust at people. Several people asked if she was hired for the day to be Tink. LOL! Crrazy, Crazy!!! I bought their costumes for fairly cheap because I waited for discount codes. Good LUCK and have fun with your princess!!

I found an 18 month Belle dress in e-bay.

Also, my dd4 just wore her crocs with her princess dress...and I have to say the look was totally cute! She wore her hot pink crocs that matched the pink in the roses of her Belle dress. Belle has never been so trendy and dd4 was comfortable.

She once wore red crocs with a Snow White dress...also match well and was very cute. IMHO, the pictures would make a great crocs advertisement! =)

Are the Cinderella dresses at World of Disney long (to the floor) or short, or both. My DD4 has expressed a preference for the long dress. All I saw at online shopping was a knee length dress. We go to WDW in December, so I will buy based on size closer to when we go. She wants "glass slippers" too.

Wal-Mart is selling princess shoes separately from the dresses. I don't remember how much they were, but they were like jelly sandals instead of the plastic dress-up high heels.
