Princess dress problem

Hi, I wondered if anyone could advise me about 'hooped' dresses. I have bought DD (4) a lovely dress from Ebay. Unfortunately, the hoop is really badly warped/twisted. Can you buy new hoops or un-twist them? It's such a shame as the dress is really nice.

The one in DD's dress gets twisted sometimes - have you tried taking out and threading back through.

It is just a plastic type strip isn't it. I wonder if the wires you hang net curtains on would do threaded through (no hooks on the ends!) just needs a bit of weight. Or maybe ask a dressmaker/bridal shop if they know where you can buy a replacement hoop?

If it is a travis dress maybe the manufacturer would send you a replacement - wouldn't hurt to ask.

I just googled 'replacement hoop for a dress' and it gave me a few options, mostly from wedding dress shops..they looked quite cheap as well..

Thank you both.
It is a Disney Store dress. I will try taking it out and straightening it. If that doesn't work, I will go to a wedding dress shop.
