Princess Characters at Akershus breakfast?

Is the breakfast at Akershus a character meal? I'm not too jazzed about the lunch and dinner menus and I really want my DD and DN to get their princess fix in a big way!

And also, is the breakfast pretty good?

Yes it was a good breakfast-cheesy potatoes were the best--hot food is served family style & there is a buffet for cold food--princess interaction was excellent--I liked this one better than CRT (although being in the castle was pretty exciting)

I had breakfast there once. It was ok (not something that I would jump for again). The characters there were Snow White, Mary Poppins, Jasmine, Mulan, and Pocahontas.

What day of the week did you go that you saw Ariel for Breakfast? I have seen sightings of her for lunch or dinner, but rarely breakfast.

Princess interaction is great, food is fine. Family style normal breakfast staples. My DD wanted a pancake and while I was busy explaining that wasn't a choice they waitress went back and had them make her one. Very enjoyable experience and the only way too see so many Princesses up close and personal. Lunch/dinner was not an option for us due to the menu choices. We needed pretty standard fare. The breakfast was just that and we just looked at it as the $ wasn't just for eggs and bacon but the interaction. Beware...no photopass...they try to sell you another photo...take your own.

We loved this breakfast when were there in mid December.
We saw Belle (out front for pictures, didn't come around to tables), Mary Poppins, Aurora, Mulan, Jasmine.
My dd was really hoping to see Snow White, but she wasn't there that day.

We just got back and had Mary Poppins standing outside by the lake taking pictures and interacting with the kids. When you first go in we got to take pictures with Belle, but she didn't go around to the tables. Our waiter said we would have 4 princesses come around, we had Sleeping Beauty, Mulan, Snow White and Jasmin. Food was very good and everyone had a great time.

I never realized Pocahoantas did character breakfasts! We have done so many and never seen her.
When we were there last month, Mary Poppins was outside by the lake. Inside were Belle in her yellow dress doing pictures, then coming to the tables were Snow White, Aurora, Mulan and Jasmine.
We liked the food and felt that Mulan was the best character, although my mom enjoyed Poppins.

How do you find out who the lunch characters are?

We are going in a few weeks and can't wait.

I don't understand why they can't give you a definitive list of which princesses will be there. Why do the restaurants rotate? I realize princesses need time off, but can't they find a twin to take her place? It would be nice if it wasn't so up in the air (at all the different character places). Just a thought on my part.

Oh drats! We're going for breakfast on 1/31 and I was hoping Ariel would be there. She's also my daughter's favourite.

From what I understand she is rarely there for breakfast... We were hopeful too that she would be there for breakfast with no luck.

I love the breakfast there. OT - I can't really compare it to the breakfast at CRT since I haven't had breakfast there since almost ten years ago, but I am going to have breakfast at both restaurants during my next trip, so I can review them both fairly then.

To get back to answer your original question though, yes, all meals at Akershus are princess meals. I did not see Ariel when I ate breakfast there, I only saw her at lunch and dinner. The food is great at breakfast though, especially the potatoes. The princesses the day I ate there were Jasmine, Belle, Snow White, Aurora, and Mulan.

Is it pretty common for Ariel to be there at dinner? We are thinking of booking dinner there our next trip for this reason only. DD loves Ariel!
