Princess Caitlin pre trip August '10 costarring dawnbu40

oooh, we took Lily to see it this weekend and she brought along her little Jessie doll. After seeing the movie, makes me wonder why Lotso is the new character at DHS? I agree that some of the scenes with Ken were hilarious. Loved his fashion show.

I wondered the same thing about Lotso! :confused3 That bear is EVIL!

How cute that Lily took Jessie with her :cutie:

We LOVED TS3!! I kept waiting for Lotso to turn nice b/c he is at the meet and greet at DHS! I don't know if my kids will think he is too scary now to meet  Ken and Barbie were the best! My favorite toys!

I kept waiting for him to turn nice too! I kept thinking "he's at DHS so he must redeem himself" Oh well I guess those people who have been wanting more villain meet and greets should be satisfied.

Barbies were my favorite toys growing up so I loved Ken and Barbie :)

I saw bits n pieces of Toy Story 3 yesterday when the kiddies watched on the computer .

They seemed to really like it and so did DH , there was a lot of laughs coming from that part of the house ! !

I guess I will have to sit down and watch the whole thing one of these days but it might not be till the DVD comes out , I'm not one to watch a movie at the theater ! lol I like my couch the best to view movies lol

I am dying to see TS3, but I can't seem to recruit anyone from my house to go. I guess I will have to wait until I see my nephews or go alone.

Glad the kids enjoyed it! Dale would agree with you that the best place to watch a movie is at home on the couch. I would rather go to the theater though and get the popcorn and enjoy the big screen. I can't seem to sit still long enough at home to get through a movie

Aww the boys should go with you! If you can't get the nephews to go don't worry about being there childless. When we went there were more couples without kids than there were with them!It really is a must see movie!

My brother and I went to see Toy Story 3 too and loved it. I don't know if I liked it as much as the other two, but I think I'll have to watch it a few more times. It was still a fantastic movie though. I think Ken was my favorite new toy (too funny), but Bonnie's toys were great too. Wish that we'd gotten to see more of them.

Glad you guys loved the movie!

Ken and Bonnie's toys were great! So cute!

I read that they don't plan to do a 4th movie,as of yet, but are going to do a series of short cartoons. Caitlin's hoping they do Bonnie's plays with the old and new toys together.

I'll have to respectfully disagree with Dawn and say it was not worth the extra money. After the previews, we really didn't notice many 3D effects at all. :confused3

You're right there aren't a lot of effects with the 3D we just thought it may have made the movie stand out more? Since we didn't see the "regular" version, it's hard to say which is better or if there's any differrence,so thanks for offering your thoughts too :)

HELP!
So this morning I checked my email and grandma had a pin code! The Monster Pin Code that's out which is 40% off any resort level. Caitlin called in to see if we could use the code, we couldn't since it had grandma's name, but it turned out I had one in my name too. ;) So the question is do we upgrade to a deluxe resort or stay at Pop with free dining? :confused3 The room price comes out the same but if we went deluxe we'd have to pay oop for our meals. So I figure we could upgrade from Pop to either Saratoga Springs, WL or OKW for around $300-400$. If we cancel the rental car and use Disney buses we only go $100-$200 over budget. So we need help deciding! What do you guys think?

Or how about: go moderate resort with Deluxe Dining and Disney transportation!!

That's a good suggestion but Caitlin and I aren't big eaters so the Deluxe Plan is pretty much wasted on us. I just checked the price on staying moderate with free dining and it would be almost the same as staying deluxe with 40%off and oop meals.

Then splurge and go deluxe!
Caitlin is old enough to appreciate it.
And you can chalk it up as a "research trip" for your new job! :rotfl:
I can't wait until we get a shot at the Beach Club or the Poly...

You are right that the age of our "kid" makes a difference. If she were little it would be a non-issue. I think kids enjoy Pop or the All-Stars (or maybe CBR) more than the deluxes and like your planning is was with your children, we were always about what would be most fun for her.

Research, huh? Nice idea :rotfl2:

I stayed at the Poly several times as a kid, back then it was there or CR, and did not appreciate it at all :sad2: You are right in waiting til the kids are older :thumbsup2

If you stay deluxe and pay OOP for food, is it going to cause you to feel like you have to be more careful with what you spend? Would it be worth staying at POP just so you don't have to "think" about food and money? I'm probably not making any sense...sorry!

Of course I'm gonna say stay deluxe , heck who doesn't want to stay deluxe if you can afford it ! In other thinking though if you stay deluxe and have to give up dinning & a rental car it may not be worth it . If we pay out of pocket for our meals we like them to be cheap which would restrict someone to CS or eating off property which would be out of the question without that rental car and we would get tired of CS (IMO). So all in all if you can't afford to stay deluxe & at least keep the dinning I would stick with PoP :thumbsup2 You'd be free to go as you please w/ your rental car & your food would all be taken care of !

Don't know what your looking to spend & I know our dates are slightly different but we did our room w/ 40% off at WL & the Dinning Plan for the 4 of us for around 1700 which I didn't think was bad at all !

Good Luck Dawn ! I'm sure you come up with something that will be perfect for u all !

When I estimated the increase being $100-200 it was with paying for our current adrs oop. I figured what everyone would eat and priced it out that way.

I appreciate your input and you did make sense :goodvibes

The reason we wouldn't get the dining plan is that to get it we'd have to buy park tickets. Since tickets get cheaper the more days you purchase it makes sense to buy them for our arrival at BW and not wait until "the other one". We wouldn't change our adrs, except maybe a before the park opens adr since Dale doesn't like getting up as early as that requires for the bus. So we'd be eating at the same places and doing the same things just at a deluxe vs Pop with an extra expense of $100-200.
