I understand there is now a Princess Character breakfast in Epcot as well. Hoping to be in WDW for DD1's 7th birthday in October and want to have brekkie with Sleeping Beauty for her birthday - preferably in the Castle in MK

Her birthday is on Hallowe'en - will it be particularly busy ?

As we can't book anything yet (DH is in the Gulf :() are we going to find it difficult to get a PS for the day we want without ringing up 60 days in advance ( I remember reading something about taking credit card details for the Castle breakfast- or was I dreaming ?)

We had the EPCOT breakfast last Tuesday.

2 Adults plus 1 6 year old cost inc tip of $60

Food is lousy

You get a plate of melon, strawberries and yoghurty thing between you all plus a plate of pastries to start. I suppose you could ask for more but the servers are very busy.

Regular refills of hot drinks and juices

Then a skillett containing very cold bacon, scrambled eggs, waffles and something called potato casserole.

However thats the down side done with. The smile on Caitlins face when she first glimpsed Snow White coming around the corner was magic and her smile grew as in turn Snow White was followed by Belle, Mulan, Jasmine, Mary Poppins and lastly Sleeping Beauty. They all made a fuss of her and took time to chat, sign autographs (dont forget the book or buy one in the shop opposite) and pose for photographs.

Lovely venue and atmosphere and to my mind well worth the expense but I am not joking ,the breakfast itself is very poor.

Oops should have added that Caitlin was not impressed at first by Mary Poppins being there"but shes not a Princess" was her reaction.

However of all of them she was the nicest even allowing for the fake cockney accent.

Caitlin has agreed to make Mary Poppins an honorary Disney Princess.

On the food front you also get a sausage pattie (recipe supplied by Allied Carpets)

You do have to give credit card info for Cindy's but not Princess Storybook.

I loved the Princess Storybook, I had a seperate skillet as I was a vegi and DH asked for more food and got it :D

CRT is hard to get, even if you ring exactly at 7am (EST) at 60 days...otherwise you'll need a lot of good luck and hope for a cancellation.

Whilst you need a Credit Card to reserve it (they debit $10 per person) it is fully refundable as long as you cancel prior to 24hours before. So you could still book it, and cancel it if need be.

I've done both breakfasts - PSB is in a nice surrounding and all, and the food was ok (though the French Toast was yukky) but we had a fairly early PS and this might have made a difference - I have heard a few people complain about cold food there. The atmosphere of the MK castle is better though IMO - and I love the cream cheese french toast and the potato casserole - yum!

I've heard varying complaints and praises about the Princess Breakfast. Apparantly seating plays a big factor. If you're seated in the front or middle of the dining hall you'll be among the first to interact with the characters. Guests seated towards the back or corner of the dining room have repeatedly complained about not interacting with the characters until about 45 minutes into the meal, which at times seems rushed. The food, from what I've heard, is nothing to brag about, and is served ala carte rather than buffet style. I considered doing this breakfast for my daughter but felt that the price was a bit steep for average food, and most importantly the risk of having less than 5 minutes to interact with the princess'. Apparantly seating is, or at least was, assigned randomly, regardless of order of arrival. And it doesn't help that the characters cluster together in one section rather than dispersing to satisfy the entire room. I would definitely reconsider if I heard that they'd worked out the seating/character interaction snafu. And while not a princess(as is the case with mary poppins), Minnie has been making regular appearances during breakfast.
