Our reservation was for 10:10 & we were there until they kicked us out b/c lunch was beginning. We were 3 mommies, 2 5yos, 2 2yos, & 1 1yo. All girls...all dressed like princesses.

List of princesses:

Belle & Beast
Cinderella & Fairy Godmother
Jasmine & Aladdin
Snow White & Prince Charming
Aurora (Sleeping Beauty)
also...Mary Poppins and Sam the Penguin

I had a hard time eating b/c I was so busy helping DD5 & DD2 get autographs signed and taking photos. The food is really good (they make omlettes for you), but the character interation was amazing. Around 12:00, Belle and Aurora were dancing with our daughters and also sat down and did a private storytelling (the story of Beauty and the Beast). We only had to pay for the mommies and the 5 year olds. Others were free & I used by AP discount. It was a great value.

We decided to let the daddies sleep in and they met up w/ us at 12:30. Having them skip the breakfast helped reduce the cost, but there were lots of daddies there. The table next to ours had 2 girls about 8 years old (best friends) & their two daddies (sooo cute).

We have also previously done Plaza Inn with Pooh and Friends & Goofy's Kitchen dinner.
Any questions???

Susan

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. Sounds like you all had a blast. :)

Thank you for sharing your experience!

I can't wait to take me DD! :-)

This is a fantastic character experience. I really recommend doing it later though ( I think OP said hers was at 10:10). Our seating was at 9:00 and it was so packed you couldn't walk through. The princesses were just taking turns gathering in one corner of the inside or out on the porch there were so many people. By about 10:00 however the place had thinned out considerably. When we arrived at 9:00 the line was out the door to get the omlettes and other food. As we left at 10:30, not a soul in line!

Thanks for the tip. What time do they "kick you out" for lunch? Will that be enough time to eat?

I'm not too sure about that. When you make the PS, just ask what the latest seating is and then get that one or something close to it. Another possibility would be to go to the first seating before the park opens. And last but not least, going mid week or off season would probably make a difference. The weekend we were there in December was pretty crowded since the weather was so nice. Even though our time there was crowded we were still able to get autographs and have fun it just took a little more patience!

Thanks so much for the review. Each time we've been to WDW, my son and I have done Cinderella's breakfast. He is so into Disney, just like his mom, that he didn't even care that it was supposedly a girl thing to do. Sounds like he would like this one too.

Has anyone who's done this seen Prince Phillip?

My son is a HUGE fan of Prince Phillip(he has both versions of the costume and wore the most recent one around DL on his bday this past year  )BUT he has never "met" Prince Phillip!! He's just never there when we are!! The poor kid says "I know he won't be here" everytime we make that trek up to the information desk! LOL! He went 4 times from July-Dec and not ONCE did we spy Prince Phillip!! :guilty:

I would most definitely spend the $$ if Prince Phillip was there!!

Thanks

Re: What time to they kick you out?? I think around 12 noon, something like that, but they didn't kick us out, they just stopped serving breakfast food and then the table busser started to hover.

Re: Prince Phillip?? I've never seen him at DL. My sister's friend is Aurora, I could have her ask about him. I will post on this thread if I find out any info.

P.S. Forgot to add that Prince Charming kissed my 2yo on her forehead (sp?) and her 2yo friend on the hand. Soooo cute. Also Aladdin was so cute...one little girl was shy and a little bit afraid of him...so he played shy and won her over. He came back to visit her several times. The character interaction was amazing!

Re: Last seating time I think is 10:30. I barely had time to eat, but I was getting food for my 2yo, 5yo, and myself and also taking photos and managing autograph books, etc....without my hubby. Had he been there, I would have had more time to eat. Of course, I made the character interaction a priority and I made sure that my kids ate plenty b/c w/o food, they get fussy.

Did I mention that we were there on Jan 3rd. The parks were not busy that day, but the restaurant was full at first. They really fill that place up.

P.S. I forgot to tell you that each Princess & mommy/daddy (if they want)gets a paper gold crown and a pin (kind of like the one at Ariel's Grotto).

Hope you all enjoy it as much as we did!

Couldn't agree more - we did this one in early December and it was fantastic - my daughters aged 9 and 6 were in heaven. Mary Poppins and Bert greeted us at the door - Bert did a great imitation of DVD's appalling cockney accent, while Mary (who looked just like the original) sang "spoonful of sugar" and told the girls to stand up straight and not slouch (which they loved).

Inside, we had Aladdin and Jasmine, Aurora, Cinderella, Mulan and Fairy Godmother come to our table, while Belle and Beast posed for photos near the food (Beast was a bit big to move around and scared some small kids. He left after a while so make sure you see him when you can as he may depart and leave Belle to visit the tables on her own).

All posed for photos, signed autographs, spoke in "character" (Aladdin told the girls what it was like to ride a flying carpet, the princesses talked about being princesses etc).

Food was ok, (the usual buffet style breakfast food of pastries, cereal from big containers, juice and coffee from machines etc, with chefs cooking omelettes, bacon etc. There was also some over the top jelly creations) - but the experience alone was worth it - a "must" for anyone with young girls.

A warning though - we saw no "princes" apart from Aladdin, so I'd be wary about taking boys along, or promising them too much. But for girls, this is superb.

We booked for the earliest start (8:30) and were seated immediately and got our food ahead of the queue - I'd recommend the early booking.

Thanks for the info. I have reservations for this coming Saturday. Do you think it is too much for a 3-year-old? I can't remember our reservation time, but I know it is somewhere around 9:20 or so. Do you think it will be too crowded? This is our very first character meal.

It got pretty crowded very quickly so an earlier time would be better. Maybe turn up early and see how you go? But I think a 3-Y-O would adore it - there were plenty of kids that age at our breakfast and characters are very good at dealing with children.
