We will be staying at the Beach Club for 3 nights starting December 16th prior to our Disney Cruise and wanted to do the Princess Breakfast at Epcot on the 18th and the Cape May Cafe breakfast on the 19th before we leave for the cruise.

I know (from these boards) that the Cape May Breakfast will not be hard to get but I am worried about the Princess breakfast. DD5 is really looking forward to it.

My question is this: should I call and try to get PS for the morning of the 17th just to be safe (since it is a Friday it shouldn't be hard to PS), then call the next day for the day I really want and if I get it cancel the first day? Or do you think I shouldn't have a problem since most WDW guest arrive on Saturday and the breakfast won't be that busy.

If it is something you really want I would suggest that you not wait until your last day to try to get a ressie...it is much easier to get this PS, but at least get the Friday and cancel if you get the Saturday...just be really careful when you cancel and confirm that you are still on for what you want...GOOD LUCK it is a fun breakfast:wave:

I booked this in June and treated it just like CRT--started calling about 5 minutes before 7 am EST. I got the day I wanted and got the first seating. I don't think it fills up as quickly as CRT so I think you would be fine just calling for the day you want.

It's not quite as bad as CRT in that I don't think it fills up in 2 minutes but it does fill up!

I tried getting it last year right at 7:00 and was shocked when I was told it was booked up. I was pretty upset but decided to call back 10 minutes later and I got a couple of choices.

So, because of that experience, I always treat it like CRT now. Better safe than sorry.

Good luck!

I am so naive!! I knew not to try for the Castle breakfast from reading the unofficial guide, and knew DD liked Princess Aurora best, so after we made our ressies, app 40 before going to wdw... I made and got my first choice... we're heading there the first week in August, so maybe its not as popular as December, or just not that popular with the crowds going that day?!! I feel blessed!!

I too was worried about getting PSB for our trip Sept. 25-Oct. 2. I'm not sure of how the crowds differ between that time and the time you're going. I wanted a weekday but wasn't particular about what day. I too decided to call for a couple of days just in case I didn't get Wed. which is an EE day. Anyway, I had no problem either day. I'm on Eastern time and had no problem being on the phone for 7:15. Both days, I was able to get the first seating. One day I was on hold for a bit longer than the other but was still able to get 8:30. So, I don't think it's as hard to get as some people say - at least not for late Sept.

I just need to remember to cancel the day I don't want!

Good luck!

We were there in May and we were with the first seating. It was really cool how they open the resaturant w/the staff and all the kids. They do pick a princess of the day who gets to do the honors during the opening. If you don't mind going for the first seating then I would make the ressie in advance and try for the first seating. Have a great trip.princess:

Thank you all for your advice. I will try to get the 17th as a 'safety date' then really try for a late seating on the 18th. The reason I want a later seating is because we have tickets for MVMCP on the night of the 17th and I know we will be out late.
