Princess Ariel

My DD20 is a HUGE fan of The Little Mermaid and were going to WDW to celebrate her getting her AA degree. We're staying at AOA in a Mermaid room but I would like her to be able to take some special pics with Ariel. So, my question is for Ariel's Grotto what is the best time to meet with her. We're not so much of rope drop people but if we have to we will go early if no other option. Also, any other ideas regarding Ariel would be greatly appreciated to make this occasion special. We will be in the parks from 5/12-5/14/17.

Early mornings will always have the shortest lines.
But, you can get a FP+ to meet her and be guaranteed a shorter wait at any time for which you can book the FP.

Definitely go see Ariel in her grotto for a nice meet and greet. She's in her fin there. If you also want to meet her in her gown, you would need to schedule lunch at CRT or Akershus (neither is a guarantee to meet Ariel but she's quite regular).

Thanks Robo! Do you know if they have specific hours that they are open? I don't want to use FP+ on it as we are selecting Space Mountain, Peter Pan's Flight and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Do you think there will be a possibility of getting a 4th FP for the M & G?

We met Ariel in the morning at the grotto, and we met her again at CRT. Both were great experiences! We didn't go to see Ariel right at rope drop, but it was in the morning and it was still a 25 minute wait.

That new character breakfast sounds pretty awesome too!

I agree, the interaction with Ariel in her grotto is usually very good.

If you are night owls and they happen to have evening extra magic hours at Magic Kingdom that's also an option for shorter lines. I must say though as a purist when it comes to The Little Mermaid.....I have no idea where the green dress came from........it irks me lol
