I thought I had posted the story but I guess not...we were on vaca and we went to ride the Essex Steam Train and I thought it would be fun to do something a little different so we paid the extra money to ride in the first class parlor car...which had swivel chairs...when my DD14 said "ck it out mom they swivel" I was beggining to swivel towards her - and she was going faster and the bottom of the chair caught my big toes toenail and proceeded to rip it off like opening a book

Only it was still holding on by just about 1/2 of one side. It hurt soooo bad - and there was a lot of blood. But the train had already left the station so there wasnt much that could be done. There was a medic onboard (looked to be about 10yrs old

) He wrapped it up - while he was doing it I noticed tylenol in his case - Iasked if he would give me one - he then explained that he could not "dispense any meds" - but he offered me A GLASS OF WINE! i took him p on TWO of those

When we got back to the station we headed straight to the medical center - SIX NOVACAINE SHOTS later they removed the remainder of the nail. So it had been swollen and painful for almost two weeks - but the good news is I am fine now and this morning we did 2 miles @ a 15:18 pace!
