There has been a lot of hype on disney princesses but nothing about the princes.Shouldn't boys have that kind of attention?

That's why they're hyping the pirates...little boys don't want to be nice wallpaper princes, they want to be Jack Sparrow. Didn't you get the Disney memo? Girl=princess, boy=pirate.

My ds 7 will have nothing to do with those effeminate princes.
I have to trick him into watching those movies, then he sits with the cover over his head peaking through.
I trick him by saying I want to watch (insert "girly" movie here.)
He is going thru a faze now where he is hyper sensitive about "boy stuff"
and "girl stuff."

They're not all bad! Prince Phillip was pretty tough fighting off the dragon/Maleficent.

Prince Eric is way better than the prince from Snow White, too.

I agree that the princes don't get the attention that the princesses do, but I think it's because they aren't "manly." Even Jasmine is more popular, and the movie was about Aladdin!!

Disney is definitely all about pushing the pirates on the boys - pirates are masculine and cool. Princes are just handsome. Kinds stinks - I really like Prince Eric! Then again...Johnny Depp is pretty hot!
