Prince on Leno last night

Did anybody see the show last night (Thursday)? What was written on the paper that Prince handed to Jay at the end of his performance? The beginning part said "Jay is the best...", what did the last part of it say?

It's funny, but I fell asleep during the news but woke up to this song. I was like, wow! that's Prince! So awesome! But I couldn't keep my eyes open so just listened and turned off the tv when it was over! I love Prince!

I do not get the connection? Isn't he the band leader on Letterman?

I watched and I saw Prince go over to that easel but was confused why he would write that.....?
